Complete Abbreviated OASIS Assessment
Path: Patient>Clinical>Assessments
- Admit the patient as usual.
- In Patient>Clinical>Assessments, select, complete, and save the Abbreviated OASIS Only template. For the Abbreviated OASIS Only template, there are no:
- Patient condition changes icons and key icons
- Condition Change report
- Predictive Probability of Risk report
- Validation
- OASIS export functionality
If you select a new Abbreviated OASIS Only assessment for patients who are over 18 years of age, the warning message appears.
The Abbreviated OASIS Only template is available for RFAs 1, 3, and 4.
- After the Abbreviated OASIS Only template is 100% completed, all needed M items are completed and the template is saved, the Scores icon becomes active.
For PPS payers, all relevant information is automatically prefilled on the PPS Information tab of the Admissions & Status window. - If you want to use the information about PPS and non-PPS payers to generate claims automatically after completing the Abbreviated OASIS Only template, select the FFS - Include HIPPS check box in the Claim Generation section in Administration>Financial>Insurance Codes>Billing Rules.
