Create discharge or transfer summary

Path: Patient>Clinical>Assessments

Items documented in the Discharge Summary section of the assessment are shown on the Discharge Summary report.

A discharge or transfer summary can be initiated by clicking the D/T icon on the Assessment toolbar. This functionality is used when the need for a discharge or transfer is not known prior to initiating the assessment.

  1. In the Patient component, select a patient.
  2. Go to Clinical>Assessments.
  3. Click New.
  4. Select the type and the reason for assessment.
  5. Click D/T Summary.
  6. In the Discharge/Summary Type window, select the discharge/summary type and click OK.
  7. Complete the assessment as appropriate and save.
