The following issues are resolved: 1) Some Order Entry forms could be incorrectly displayed in the menu when in "Home Meds Only" mode, or incorrectly hidden when not in "Home Meds Only" mode. 2) When using the 'Print Current Orders and Order Changes' form and printing the 'Current Orders' report in myAvatar NX, the order 'Description' can overlap the order 'Start Date'.

The following issues are resolved in the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode section): 1) Filing multiple laboratory-type orders might cause the error "An error occurred while creating a row in the 'OrderEntry.order_entry_cs_utilities' table. Error: #5805: ID not unique for extent 'OrderEntry.OrderEntryCSUtilities'". 2) Filing an order might cause the error 'The order has the following issue: An error occurred while updating eMAR.' This error could also occur when using the 'Client Profile / Physicians Orders' form, the 'Physician Order Validation' form, or when filing a Renew or a Validate via those types of To Dos. This error could occur when filing any action for an order for a client episode whose 'Treatment Setting' is not included in the registry setting 'Treatment Settings Processed By eMAR'. 3) Validating an order might cause the error "The order has the following issue: An error occurred while updating eMAR." This error could occur on a variable dose order where a one-time-only 'Frequency Code' was used and the corresponding order in Avatar eMAR had already been administered and therefore automatically discontinued. 4) Filing a new order might cause the error "The order has the following issue: An error occurred while updating eMAR." This error could occur when the order is set to 'Give Initial Dose Now' and the first ("Now") dose is scheduled to occur at the same time that it would normally occur had 'Give Initial Dose Now' not been selected.

An issue is resolved in the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode and Admission Med Reconciliation sections) where screening for 'Drug-Drug Interactions' may not be performed against orders already in the Scratchpad when selecting a medication for a new order. This issue occurs when "Drug-Drug Interactions" are not selected in the 'Types of Screening Performed Via Direct CKO Server Connection' prompt in the 'Order Entry Clinical Screening System Defaults' form.

Six new prompts are added to the 'Order Entry User Definition' and 'Order Entry User Role' forms: 1) 'Prevent Entry/Update in the OE Console (Home Medications section)' supports limiting access to view-only for the Order Entry Console (Home Medications section) in Avatar NX. 2) 'Prevent Entry/Update of Medication Reconciliation' supports limiting access to view-only for the Order Entry Console (Admission Med Reconciliation and/or Discharge Med Reconciliation sections) in Avatar NX. 3) 'Allow Edit of Another User's Administration Event' supports limiting the ability to edit another user's eMAR 'Administration Event' in Avatar eMAR NX (if the user / user role has the ability to edit eMAR 'Administration Events' at all). Upon installation of this Update, all 'Order Entry Users' and 'Order Entry User Roles' that are already defined with 'Allowed to Edit an eMAR Administration Event' set to "Yes" will initially have this new prompt also set to "Yes", in order to preserve preexisting behavior. 4) 'Allow Void of Another User's Administration Event' supports limiting the ability to void another user's eMAR 'Administration Event' in Avatar eMAR NX (if the user / user role has the ability to void eMAR 'Administration Events' at all). Upon installation of this Update, all 'Order Entry Users' and 'Order Entry User Roles' that are already defined with 'Allowed to Void an eMAR Administration Event' set to "Yes" will initially have this new prompt also set to "Yes", in order to preserve preexisting behavior. 5) 'Allowed to Edit Administration Times' supports limiting the ability of selected users / user roles to use the 'Edit Hours of Administration' feature in Avatar eMAR NX. Note that this setting is honored only if the registry setting 'Allow Edit Hours of Administration' is set to "Y". The help text for this prompt provides further details. 6) 'Allowed to Reschedule' supports controlling the ability of selected users / user roles to use the 'Reschedule' feature in Avatar eMAR NX. Note that this setting can be used to limit use of the 'Reschedule' feature more than is indicated by the registry setting 'Reschedule Feature Available', but cannot be used to grant broader use of the 'Reschedule' feature than is indicted by that registry setting. The help text for this prompt provides further details. Note: An Avatar NX Release is required for full functionality related to all of these new prompts. Items 1 and 2 are supported in the Order Entry Console only in Avatar NX. Items 3 through 6 are supported only in Avatar eMAR NX, not in the original Avatar eMAR. Additionally, Avatar OE is enhanced to support the ability to select "Black" as a font color for 'eMAR Alerts'. This can be done via an extended attribute ('eMAR Alerts - Font Color', data element #10368) off of the 'eMAR Alerts' dictionary ('Order Entry Tabled Files', data element #10367).

In the Order Entry Console (Discharge Med Reconciliation section), an issue is resolved where 'Continue' orders in the Scratchpad might be missing certain fields in the 'OrderEntry.med_rec_dis_scr_pad' table, including the 'med_name' and 'med_full_description' fields. This results in the medication names being missing for those medications on the Discharge Med Reconciliation report. Note that this issue occurred only when using myAvatar NX, and that the cause of this issue was addressed via Avatar OE 2022 Update 91 and a myAvatar NX Release. This Update repairs the missing data, to the extent possible.

The following enhancements are included: 1) In the Order Entry Console (Home Medications section), "Pending" orders in the list of client orders now display a notation indicating what action is "Pending". Note: This feature is available only in Avatar NX, and an Avatar NX Release is also required in order for this feature to become available. 2) In the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode section), the 'Activity History' pop-up dialog (launched via the 'View' button in 'Last Activity' column) now includes the 'Reason' and 'Comment' recorded on eMAR 'Administration Events'. In addition, the following issues are resolved: 1) In the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode section), the 'Activity History' pop-up dialog may not properly display if an uploaded result exists for the order. 2) In the Order Entry Console (Home Medications section), the 'Order History' pop-up dialog displays a 'Pharmacy Details' section for "Reported" medications.

The following enhancements are included: 1) In the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode section), the list of client orders now displays the 'Last Renew Practitioner' in the 'Ordering Practitioner' column, in addition to the original 'Ordering Practitioner', when the order was last Renewed by a different 'Practitioner' than the 'Ordering Practitioner'. Note that this enhancement is available only in Avatar NX. 2) The once-a-day background process that identifies orders that are due for Renew in order to send Notifications / To Dos and to support the [R] indicator (Renew/Reorder Due) in the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode section) is modified for improved performance. 3) The once-a-day background process that identifies orders that are due for Renew is enhanced to provide the ability to send Notifications / To Dos to the order's 'Ordering Practitioner' and/or 'Last Renew Practitioner', and/or to the client's 'Attending Practitioner'. This is accomplished via the new registry setting 'Send Renew/Reorder Notification To'. This registry setting is also used to determine which 'Practitioners' have a particular client/order in the [R] indicator. 4) The process that builds and refreshes the data for the [R] indicator when the Order Entry Console is in use is enhanced for improved performance. 5) The [R] indicator no longer relies on "Order Entry (Renewal Due)" and "Order Entry (Reorder Due)" To Dos. Consequently, it is now possible to disable the generation of those To Dos if they are not wanted, and still make use of the [R] indicator. These Notifications / To Dos are configured via the 'Notifications Setup' form.

In the 'Client Profile / Physicians Orders' form, an issue is resolved where the scrolling text fields on an order are not properly cleared prior to being populated during 'Order Group' processing. This could result in additional lines of text being carried forward within these fields, from one order to the next order as the 'Order Group' selected orders are processed, if the prior order contained more lines of text in any such field than did the subsequent order. Additionally, in the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode section), an issue is resolved where a discontinued order might prevent the filing of another order with the same 'Order Type' when that 'Order Type' has 'Allow Only One Active Order At A Time' functionality enabled.

Two new extended attributes are added to Avatar Order Entry: 1) 'Require Result Text / Comment on eMAR Follow-Up' (Order Entry Tabled Files, data element 570) is added to 'Order Type' (Order Entry Tabled Files, data element 500). 2) 'Require Result Text / Comment on eMAR Follow-Up' (Order Entry Tabled Files, data element 571) is added to 'Reason Code Setup' (Order Entry Tabled Files, data element 504). Avatar eMAR 2023 Update 8 modifies eMAR to be sensitive to these new extended attributes. In addition, in the 'Order Code Setup' form, the prompt 'Require Result Text on Administration Event Result' is changed to 'Require Result Text / Comment on Avatar eMAR Follow-up', for consistency with these new extended attributes, which reflect different terminology in use in Avatar eMAR and Avatar eMAR NX.

The following issues are resolved: 1) When attempting to create or update an order in a system running a version of Cache prior to Cache 2011 could generate a "[METHOD DOES NOT EXIST]ValidateObject+4^OrderEntry.histclientorder.2" error. 2) Orders that use a 'Route of Administration' that is defined with a 'Preferred Description' no longer display the 'Preferred Description' in the Avatar eMAR 'Order Description' once pharmacy fill details are received and are used to display the eMAR 'Order Description'. NOTE: The change included in this Update will affect only those orders for which pharmacy fill details are received by Avatar from RxConnect subsequent to the installation of this Update. 3) In the Order Entry Console (Orders This Episode section), the error "Avatar Order Entry Console has encountered the following error: GetDongleId+26^GUIDongleAPI" might be presented when attempting to Validate orders. Note that this error occurs only when using myAvatar NX and only when the 'Two-Factor Authentication Method' registry setting is set to "iButton", and when the 'Two-Factor Authentication Process Points' registry setting includes "3" (Avatar OE for filing pharmacy/medication orders).

Support is provided for 'eMAR Downtime Automation', a process that can run automatically via the 'System Task Scheduler' to generate any of the product 'Administration Record' forms that are available for the 'Order Entry Forms Printing' process, saving the output as one or more PDF files. These PDF files could then be used to support medication (and other) administrations in the event that Avatar eMAR is unavailable. The 'eMAR Downtime Automation' form is provided to allow for configuration of this functionality. NOTE: Avatar RADplus 2023 Update 34 is required for full functionality. In addition, an issue is resolved in the various product "Administration Record" Crystal Reports (generated via the 'Order Entry Forms Printing' form) where the error "A subscript must be between 1 and the size of the array" could occur.

Please note: This functionality is available only in myAvatar NX, and a myAvatar Client Update or upgrade must also be installed to utilize it. Also note that an upcoming Avatar eMAR Update will add support for displaying these supplemental order diagnoses in eMAR.

The following issues are resolved and changes are made to the 'Discharge Medication Report' that is available in the Order Entry Console (Discharge Med Reconciliation section): 1) On the 'Active Medications List' portion of the report, the 'Next Due' date and time that are printed might not be as desired, if the 'Frequency' on the discharge order was changed from what the 'Frequency' had been on the original inpatient order. Due to the challenges in determining when the next dose should actually occur in such situations, the report will now print a "fill in the blank" underline in the 'Next Due' column in these situations. 2) The 'Last Given' / 'Next Due' columns do not appear on the report when configured to do so. 3) The report might sometimes print a mostly blank first page and then print details starting on the second page. 4) The help message for the registry setting 'Enable Last Dose/Next Due on OE Console Discharge Med Reconciliation report' is updated to reflect the changes included in this Update.
