OE NX - Orders This Episode - Last Renew Practitioner
Scenario 1: OE NX - Orders This Episode - Renew
Specific Setup:
- Two users must exist. Both users must have assigned Practitioners. (User A and User B)
- A client must have an active episode. (Client A)
- “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
- "User A" must be logged into the application.
Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Create a pharmacy-type order with a duration of "7 Days", and an 'Ordering Physician' of the practitioner associated with "User A". (Order A)
- Select "Order A" from the 'Order grid' and click [Renew].
- Set the 'Renew' field to "58" and click [Days].
- Validate the 'Current Stop Date' field contains the current date.
- Validate the 'New Stop Date' contains a date that is 58 days in the future of the current date.
- Click [Add to Scratchpad].
- Validate the 'Ordering Practitioner' field contains the practitioner associated with "User A" and click [Sign].
- An 'Interactions' dialog maybe displayed.
- Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains the order for "Order A" with a 'Stop Date' that is 58 days in the future from current date, and an 'Ordering Physician' that is associated with "User A".
- Log out of the application and log back in as "User B".
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Select the order in the 'Order grid' and click [Renew].
- Set the 'Renew' field to "60" and validate that [Days] is selected.
- Validate the 'New Stop Date' contains a date that is 60 days in the future of the current date.
- Click [Add to Scratchpad].
- Validate the 'Ordering Practitioner' field contains the practitioner associated with "User B" and click [Sign].
- An 'Interactions' dialog maybe displayed.
- Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains the order for "Order A" with a 'Stop Date' that is 60 days in the future from current date, and an 'Ordering Physician' that is associated with "User A" and a 'Last Renew:' that is associated with 'User B'.

NX - Renew Due To Do's - Send Renew/Reorder Notification To
Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:
- Notifications Setup

Scenario 1: OE NX - Orders This Episode - 'Send Renew/Reorder Notification to' registry setting set to "L".
Specific Setup:
- Must have "To Do" selected in the 'Notification Method' field on the 'Notifications Setup' form for 'Notification Types' of "Order Entry (Renewal Due)" and "Order Entry (Reorder Due)".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Send Renew/Reorder Notification To' registry setting must be set to "L".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Number of Days Before Order Expiration to Send Renew To Do' registry setting must be set to "5".
- A user must exist whose actions do not require validation and who is associated with a staff member. (User A)
- Must have the 'My TO DO's' widget on the HomeView.
- Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
- A client must have an active inpatient episode.(Client A)
- “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
- Must be logged into the application as "User A".
Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Search for and select a pharmacy-type order code in the 'New Order' field.
- Populate all required fields ensuring that the 'Duration' field is "28" and [Days] is selected, that the 'Stop Date' is less than 5 days in the future of the current date.
- Click [Add to Scratchpad].
- Validate the 'Ordering Practitioner' field contains the staff member associated with "User A".
- Click [Sign].
- Validate an 'Interactions' dialog is displayed.
- Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains the new order and that the 'Ordering Physician' contains the staff member associated with "User A".
- Wait until the nightly process runs. Usually occurs at the same time every night and can be configured via the 'System Task Scheduler' form.
- Access the 'My TO DO's' widget and click the button in the top left hand corner in order to view all To Do's.
- Validate there is a 'Renew/Validate Orders' To Do under 'Orders' for "Client A".
- Click [Close].
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Click [R].
- Validate the 'Renew' dialog is displayed.
- Click [Refresh] and validate "Client A" is displayed with a "1" in the 'Number to Renew' field.
- Please note that the 'To Do' item was sent to the 'Ordering Practitioner' because this order has not yet been renewed.
- Select the row for "Client A" and click [Renew].
- Validate the 'Status' field contains "Renew Due".
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains the order to be renewed.
- Select the order in the 'Order grid' and click [Renew].
- Validate the 'Effective Renew Date/Time' fields contain the current date and time.
- Validate the 'Renew' field contains "28" and that [Days] is selected.
- Validate the 'New Stop Date' field contains a date that is 28 days in the future of the 'Effective Renew Date' field.
- Validate the 'New Stop Time' field contains a time that is 1 minute prior to the 'Effective Renew Time'.
- Set the 'Effective Renew Date' field to a date that is 26 days in the past of the current date.
- Validate the 'New Stop Date' field contains a date that is 28 days in the future of the 'Effective Renew Date' and 2 days in the future of the current date.
- Click [Add to Scratchpad].
- Validate the 'Ordering Practitioner' field contains the staff member associated with "User A" and click [Sign].
- Validate an 'Interactions' dialog is displayed.
- Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
- Access the 'My TO DO's' widget and click the button in the top left hand corner in order to view all To Do's.
- Validate there is no 'Renew/Validate Orders' To Do under 'Orders' for "Client A".
- Click [Close].
- Wait until the nightly process runs. Usually occurs at the same time every night and can be configured via the 'System Task Scheduler' form.
- Access the 'My TO DO's' widget and click the button in the top left hand corner in order to view all To Do's.
- Validate there is a 'Renew/Validate Orders' To Do under 'Orders' for "Client A".
- Click [Close].
- Please note that the 'To Do' item was sent to the staff member associated with "User A" because this order was renewed by the same individual who created the order.
- Validate that "Client A" is selected and access the Order Entry Console.
- Select the order in the 'Order grid' and click [Renew].
- Set the 'Effective Renew Date' field to a date that is 27 days in the past of the current date and press Tab.
- Validate the 'New Stop Date' field contains a date that is one day in the future of the current date.
- Click [Add to Scratchpad].
- Set the 'Ordering Practitioner' field to the staff member associated with "User B" and click [Sign].
- Validate an 'Interactions' dialog is displayed.
- Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains the order with the staff member associated with "User A" and "Last Renew: staff member associated with "User B""
- Access the 'HomeView'.
- Access the 'My TO DO's' widget and click the button in the top left hand corner in order to view all To Do's.
- Validate there is no 'Renew/Validate Orders' To Do under 'Orders' for "Client A".
- Click [Close].
- Access the Order Entry Console and click [R].
- Validate the 'Renew' dialog does not contain a row for "Client A" and click [Cancel].
- Wait until the nightly process runs. Usually occurs at the same time every night and can be configured via the 'System Task Scheduler' form.
- Access the 'My TO DO's' widget and click the button in the top left hand corner in order to view all To Do's.
- Validate there is no 'Renew/Validate Orders' To Do under 'Orders' for "Client A".
- Click [Close].
- Access the Order Entry Console and click [R].
- Validate the 'Renew' dialog does not contain a row for "Client A" and click [Cancel].
- Please note that the To Do Item and the row in the 'Renew' dialog no longer exist because they were satisfied for the staff member associated with "User A".
- Log out of the application and log back in as "User B".
- Access the 'My TO DO's' widget and click the button in the top left hand corner in order to view all To Do's.
- Validate there is a 'Renew/Validate Orders' To Do under 'Orders' for "Client A".
- Click [Close].
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console and click [R].
- Validate the 'Renew' dialog contains a row for "Client A".
- Please note that the To Do was sent to the 'Last Renewing Practitioner'.
- Select the row and click [Renew].
- Validate the 'Status' field contains "Renew Due".
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains the order to be renewed.
- Select the order and click [Renew] and [Add to Scratchpad].
- Validate the 'Ordering Practitioner' field contains the staff member associated with "User B" and click [Sign].
- Validate an 'Interactions' dialog is displayed.
- Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
- Access the 'My TO DO's' widget and click the button in the top left hand corner in order to view all To Do's.
- Validate there is no 'Renew/Validate Orders' To Do under 'Orders' for "Client A".
- Click [Close].
- Access the Order Entry Console and click [R].
- Validate the 'Renew' dialog does not contain a row for "Client A" and click [Cancel].
Scenario 2: OE NX - Orders This Episode - 'Send Renew/Reorder Notification to' registry setting set to "O".
Specific Setup:
- Must have "To Do" selected in the 'Notification Method' field on the 'Notifications Setup' form for 'Notification Types' of "Order Entry (Renewal Due)" and "Order Entry (Reorder Due)".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Send Renew/Reorder Notification To' registry setting must be set to "O".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Number of Days Before Order Expiration to Send Renew To Do' registry setting must be set to "5".
- Two users must exist, both associated with staff members.(User A and User B)
- Must have the 'My TO DO's' widget on the HomeView.
- Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
- A client must have an active inpatient episode.(Client A)
- “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
- Must be logged into the application as "User A".
Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Search for and select a pharmacy-type order code.
- Ensure the 'Freq' is "Twice A Day", the 'Duration' field is "28 Days", 'Start Date' is 25 days in the past of the current date, and the 'Start Time' is "12:00 AM".
- Click [Add to Scratchpad]
- Validate the 'Ordering Practitioner' field contains the staff member associated with "User A".
- Set the 'Ordering Practitioner' field to the staff member associated with "User B" and click [Sign].
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains the order with the staff member associated with "User B".
- Wait until the nightly process runs. Usually occurs at the same time every night and can be configured via the 'System Task Scheduler' form.
- Access the 'My TO DO's' widget and click the button in the top left hand corner in order to view all To Do's.
- Validate there is no 'Renew/Validate Orders' To Do under 'Orders' for "Client A".
- Click [Close].
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Click [R].
- Validate the 'Renew' dialog is displayed.
- Click [Refresh].
- Validate the 'Renew' dialog does not contain a row for "Client A" and click [Cancel].
- Log out of the application and log back in as "User B".
- Access the 'My TO DO's' widget and click the button in the top left hand corner in order to view all To Do's.
- Validate there is a 'Renew/Validate Orders' To Do under 'Orders' for "Client A".
- Click [Close].
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Click [R].
- Validate the 'Renew' dialog is displayed and contains a row for "Client A".
- Please Note that the 'Ordering Practitioner' is receiving the To Do item and the row for "Client A" in the 'Renew' dialog.
Scenario 3: OE NX - Orders This Episode - 'Send Renew/Reorder Notification to' registry setting set to "A" - Client does not have an Attending Practitioner
Specific Setup:
- Must have "To Do" selected in the 'Notification Method' field on the 'Notifications Setup' form for 'Notification Types' of "Order Entry (Renewal Due)" and "Order Entry (Reorder Due)".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Send Renew/Reorder Notification To' registry setting must be set to "A".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Number of Days Before Order Expiration to Send Renew To Do' registry setting must be set to "5".
- A user must have a staff member associated with them. (User A)
- Must have the 'My TO DO's' widget on the HomeView.
- Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
- A client must have an active outpatient episode.(Client A)
- "Client A" must not have an 'Attending Practitioner' associated with them.
- “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
- Must be logged into the application as "User A".
Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Search for and select a pharmacy-type order code.
- Populate all required fields setting the 'Start Date' field that is 24 days in the past, validating the 'Stop Date' field contains a date that is 4 days in the future, ensuring the 'Duration' is "28 Days" and that the 'Ordering Practitioner' field contains the staff member associated with the user who is logged into the application.
- Click [Add to Scratchpad] and [Sign].
- An 'Interactions' dialog may be displayed.
- Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains the new order with the staff member associated with the user who is logged into the application in the 'Ordering Physician' column.
- Wait until the nightly process runs. Usually occurs at the same time every night and can be configured via the 'System Task Scheduler' form.
- Log into the application as "User A".
- Access the 'My TO DO's' widget and click the button in the top left hand corner in order to view all To Do's.
- Validate there is a 'Renew/Validate Orders' To Do under 'Orders' for "Client A".
- Click [Close].
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Click [R].
- Validate the 'Renew' dialog is displayed.
- Click [Refresh] and validate "Client A" is displayed with a "1" in the 'Number to Renew' field.
- Please note that the 'To Do' item was sent to the 'Ordering Practitioner' due to the fact that an 'Attending Practitioner' did not exist for this client and episode.
Scenario 4: OE NX - Orders This Episode - 'Send Renew/Reorder Notification to' registry setting set to "A" - Client has an Attending Practitioner
Scenario 5: OE NX - Orders This Episode - 'Send Renew/Reorder Notification to' registry setting set to "None"
Specific Setup:
- Must have "To Do" selected in the 'Notification Method' field on the 'Notifications Setup' form for 'Notification Types' of "Order Entry (Renewal Due)" and "Order Entry (Reorder Due)".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Send Renew/Reorder Notification To' registry setting must be set to "NONE".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Number of Days Before Order Expiration to Send Renew To Do' registry setting must be set to "5".
- A user must exist that is associated with a staff member. (User A)
- Must have the 'My TO DO's' widget on the HomeView.
- Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
- A client must have an active episode.(Client A)

Specific Setup:
- Must have "To Do" selected in the 'Notification Method' field on the 'Notifications Setup' form for 'Notification Types' of "Order Entry (Renewal Due)" and "Order Entry (Reorder Due)".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Send Renew/Reorder Notification To' registry setting must be set to "A&L&O".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Number of Days Before Order Expiration to Send Renew To Do' registry setting must be set to "5".
- A user must exist who is associated with a staff member. (User A)
- Must have the 'My TO DO's' widget on the HomeView.
- Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.

- Click [Refresh] and validate that there is no row for "Client A".
- Click [Cancel].
- Select the order in the 'Order grid' and click [Renew].
- Set the 'Effective Renew Date' field to a date that is 27 days in the past.

Specific Setup:
- Must have "To Do" selected in the 'Notification Method' field on the 'Notifications Setup' form for 'Notification Types' of "Order Entry (Renewal Due)" and "Order Entry (Reorder Due)".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Send Renew/Reorder Notification To' registry setting must be set to "A&L&O".
- The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->To Do Items->->->Number of Days Before Order Expiration to Send Renew To Do' registry setting must be set to "5".
- 3 users must exist that are associated with staff members. (User A, User B, and User C)
- Must have the 'My TO DO's' widget on the HomeView.
- Please log out of the application and log back in after completing the above configuration.
- A client must have an active inpatient episode.(Client A)
- "Client A" must have an 'Attending Practitioner' who is the staff member associated with "User A".
- “Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.
- Must be logged into the application as "User A".
Steps
- Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
- Search for and select any pharmacy-type order code in the 'New Order' field.
- Populate all required fields ensuring that the 'Duration' field is "28" and [Days] is selected, and that the 'Stop Date' is less than 5 days in the future of the current date.
- Click [Add to Scratchpad].
- Validate the 'Ordering Practitioner' field contains the staff member associated with "User A".
- Set the 'Ordering Physician' field to the staff member associated with "User B".
- Click [Sign].
- An 'Interactions' dialog may be displayed.
- Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
- Validate the 'Order grid' contains the new order and that the 'Ordering Physician' contains the staff member associated with "User B".
- Select the order in the 'Order grid' and click [Renew].
- Set the 'Effective Renew Date' field to a date that is 27 days in the past.
- Validate the 'New Stop Date' field contains a date that is one day in the future.
- Click [Add to Scratchpad].
- Set the 'Ordering Practitioner' field to the staff member associated with "User C".
- Click [Sign].
- An 'Interactions' dialog may be displayed.
- Override all interactions and click [Save Override and Exit].
