Business Units – Settings – Bereavement
Path: Administration>Configuration>Business Units>Settings>Bereavement
Select the Bereavement radio button on the left pane of the Settings window and define the bereavement parameters that appear in the right section of this window.

Mailing Sequence |
Enter or select the mailing sequence option for bereavement letters sorting. N – name of bereaved. Z – zip code of bereaved. |

Recipient |
Select the appropriate recipient for bereavement letters.
These designations are made in Patient>General>Family & Friends. Family member is determined by the Relationship field. Primary caregiver and next of kin are designated with the Primary Caregiver and Next-Of- Kin check boxes. |

Months Prior |
Specify the number of months following the patient's death that the bereaved should receive a letter from your agency. |
|
Minimum Risk Score |
Enter the lowest assigned risk score to whom your agency should send a bereaved letter. For example, if you enter 3, your agency will automatically send a letter to bereaved persons with a risk score of 3 or higher. To send a letter to all bereaved, enter 0. You assign risk scores in the Resources>General>Bereavement window. |

Letter |
Select the letter the bereaved with the minimum risk score should receive at this interval. |
