Business Units window

Path: Administration>Configuration>Business Units


With the Business Units window, you can edit the information related to agency's Business Units.


Business Units store information about patients and all other related information. Business Units can share common files within your agency such as resources, rates, administrative definitions, care plans, diagnoses, medications, and other clinical definitions. However, Business Units cannot share information about patients.


Note: When you update Business Unit settings, the changes do not automatically propagate to Netsmart Homecare Mobile (Tablet). Your users must clear the cache on the tablet device for the new settings to be applied. To clear the cache on the tablet go to Settings > Reset Cache. Slide the button to the right.


You can either share certain information among Business Units or limit its usage to only one Business Unit. The number of Business Units available is based upon your agency's contract with Netsmart. To add a new Business Unit, contact Netsmart Homecare Staff for assistance.
