Operator privileges

The following privileges appear in the Operator Privileges section on Privileges tabs for operators, roles and groups.

I may enter visits and related items |
Provides access for entering visits and related items (supplies and non-visit related staff activities) in the Schedule and TimeLog. For TimeLog, full access to the TimeLog window must be also granted. |

Can Define Shared Workflows |
Provides access to the Make this workflow available to all users option in the Save Workflow window (Workflow>Save Workflow). |
|
Can Edit Workstations |
Provides full access to Administration>Configuration>Workstations for Field Mode (controls licenses). |
|
Can view Master Patient List |
Applies only to agencies with multiple Business Units. Provides access to the Master Patient List tab in the Select Patient dialog. The tab shows a master view of patients in all Business Units or only where the operator has privileges depending on the access type. |

Show Cost and Revenue |
Provides access to the Cost and Revenue tab in the TimeLog window. The operator must have full or read-only access to the TimeLog window. |

Provides access for:

| Allowed Entry Payments and Adjustments | Provides access for adding, deleting, and modifying payments and adjustments in the Collections/Remittance and Collections/Patient windows in Transactions>General, as well as for adding new remittances in Collections/Remittance. |

Can edit locked clinical entries (other than Assessments and Visit Frequencies) |
Provides access for editing locked clinical entries (other than assessments and visit frequencies), and allows modifying the end date for the electronically signed clinical notes. Note: This privilege is usually reserved for supervisors or managers. |

Can edit locked Visit Frequencies |
Provides access for editing locked visit frequencies. Note: This privilege is usually reserved for supervisors or managers. |

Can edit Assessments after the edit period has passed |
Provides access for editing entries on locked assessments (before and after edit period). Note: This privilege is usually reserved for supervisors or managers. |

Can unlock a submitted OASIS assessment |
Provides access for unlocking submitted OASIS assessment. (Submitted based on being included in a production OASIS export file.) |

Can UnVerify Events |
Select whether this operator can unverify an event in Transactions>General>TimeLog or a visit in the Schedule component. |

Can Unmake Events |
Select whether this operator can mark an event as unmade in Transactions>General>TimeLog or in the Schedule component. |

Can Remove Unmade Mark From Event |
Select whether this operator can remove an unmade mark from an event in Transactions>General>TimeLog or a visit in the Schedule component. |

Can Delete Collection Notes |
Select whether this operator can delete collection notes from Transactions>General>Collections/Patient. |

Can Define MAR |
Select whether this operator can define a Medication Administration Record in Patient>Clinical and the MAR component. |

Can Document MAR |
Select whether this operator can document against a Medication Administration Record in Patient>Clinical and the MAR component. |
|
Can Document Inactive MAR |
Select whether this operator can document against an inactive Medication Administration Record in Patient>Clinical and the MAR component. |

Can document MAR any time (override the Variance restriction) |
Select whether this operator can document MAR any time (regardless of the Medication Administration Variance defined in Administration>Configuration>Business Units>Settings>Medications). |

Patient Signature Allow signature capture |
Select whether this operator can capture patient signatures based on the signature purposes defined; for example, informed consent or a visit being made. This privilege enables the Apply Signature button on the Schedule>Event Edit window and displays the AS column in the TimeLog window in Transactions>General. Patient Signature can be done in Transactions>General>TimeLog and in the Schedule component. |

Patient Signature Allow signature retrieval |
Select whether this operator can retrieve captured patient signatures in a visit window in the Schedule component or in Transactions>General>TimeLog. |

Can Create Tasks |
Select whether this operator can create patient tasks in Patient>General and in the Alerts and Tasks component. |
|
Can Assign Tasks |
Select whether this operator can assign tasks to other staff members. You can select whether the operator can assign only tasks he created, or can assign all tasks. Assignments can be done in Patient>General>Tasks or in the Alerts and Tasks component. |

Can Edit 'Assigned To' field for Not Started tasks |
Select whether this operator can edit the Assigned to field within a patient task when the task has not been started. Note: The indication for whether a task has been started is determined by the Status field within the task. |

Can Edit 'Assigned To' field for In Progress tasks |
Select whether this operator can change to whom a task is assigned if the status is In Progress or Not Started. Note: The indication for whether a task has been started is determined by the Status field within the task. |

Can Edit 'Completed By' field |
Select whether this operator can change the entry in the Completed By field of the task. You can select whether the operator has this privilege for tasks they created only, or for all tasks. |

Can Edit 'Priority' field for In Progress tasks |
Select whether this operator can change the priority of a task already in progress, in case the task takes on a different priority than originally anticipated by the task creator. You can select whether the operator has this privilege only for tasks he or she created, has this privilege for tasks he or she created or received, or always has this privilege. |

Can Cancel tasks |
Select whether this operator can cancel a task if the associated patient is discharged or dies. You can select whether the operator has this privilege only for tasks he or she created, has this privilege for tasks he or she created or received, or always has this privilege. Cancellation is indicated by changing the task status to Cancelled. |

Can Edit Notes/Comments |
Select whether this operator can edit the comments section of a task regardless of whether he/she entered it. |
|
Can Edit 'Due Date/Time' field for In Progress tasks |
Select whether this operator can change entries in the Due Date/Time field on tasks with an In Progress status. You can select whether the operator has this privilege only for tasks he or she created, has this privilege for tasks he or she created or received, or always has this privilege. Note: In Progress is determined by the Status field within a task. |

Can Verify Events |
Provides full access to verify an event in the Schedule component and in the Transactions component. The privilege affects 'Scheduled' and 'In Process' visits and also visits from Telephony and Mobile. |

Can Schedule Overtime Events |
Select whether this operator can schedule events in Schedule that result in overtime hours for the scheduled resource. If overtime occurs and it is less than the Max Allowance, and the user does not have this privilege allowed, then scheduling of the event will be blocked and an error message will appear. |
|
Can Verify Visits with Negative Gross Margins |
Select whether this operator can verify visits that result in a negative gross margin, based on the gross margin settings defined in Pay Rates Calculator>Settings>Gross Margin. Note: This window is only enabled if Private Duty functionality is turned on. This function is enabled by Netsmart Homecare Client Support Services. |

Can Create New Patient |
Select whether this operator can create a new patient in the application. Adding a new patient is done in the Patient component. |
|
Can Negotiate Rates |
Select whether this operator can negotiate resource pay rates when scheduling a visit. This privilege would be appropriately set for users that are able to negotiate rates within the Business Units that Private Duty negotiation is enabled. Private Duty needs to be licensed at the organization level and Allow Visit Negotiation must be selected for the insurance in Administration>Financial>Insurance Codes |

Can Schedule with Expired Credentials |
Select whether this operator can schedule an event for a resource that has a required credential that has expired. Note: The setting for Required to Schedule is made in Administration>General>Staff Credentials. |

Can Chat |
Activates the Chat component in Netsmart Homecare. |
|
Can Exempt Event from Pay Rates Calculator Process |
Activates the Exempt from the Pay Rates Calculator Processing check box in Schedule>Events>Schedule New Event and Transactions>General>TimeLog. This check box allows excluding the selected service from the Pay Rates calculation. |

Can Reject Orders |
Allows rejecting orders in Transactions>General>Process Signed Documents. |
|
Can Print/Reprint CTI Documents |
Allows printing and reprinting CTI documents in Patient>Documents>Certification of Terminal Illness and Orders>Demand Documents>Certification of Terminal Illness. |

Can Edit Benefit Periods |
Allows editing benefit periods for CTI documents in Patient>Documents>Certification of Terminal Illness and Orders>Demand Documents>Certification of Terminal Illness. |

Can Reject CTI Documents |
Allows rejecting CTI documents in Transactions>General>Process Signed Documents. |
|
Can Inactivate CTI Documents |
Allows inactivating CTI documents in Patient>Documents>Certification of Terminal Illness and Orders>Demand Documents>Certification of Terminal Illness. |

Can Enter and Change CTI and Attending MD |
Allows entering and changing CTI MD and Attending MD in Patient>Documents>Certification of Terminal Illness and Orders>Demand Documents>Face-to-Face Documents. |

Can Print/Reprint F2F Documents |
Allows printing and reprinting CTI documents in Patient>Documents>Face-to-Face Documents and Orders>Demand Documents>Face-to-Face Documents. |

Can Reject F2F Documents |
Allows rejecting Face-to-Face documents in Transactions>General>Process Signed Documents>Face-to-Face. |

Can Inactivate F2F Documents |
Allows inactivating Face-to-Face documents in Patient>Documents>Face-to-Face Documents and Orders>Demand Documents>Face-to-Face Documents. |

Can Manage Login Credentials for Netsmart Referral Management |
Allows viewing the Netsmart Referral Management tab in the Password Vault window for managing the credentials for Referral Management. |

Can View Netsmart Referrals |
Allows viewing the View Referral button for patients referred from the Netsmart Referral Management interface in the list of:
Also, with this privilege, the View Referral button becomes available in the Admissions & Status and Inbound HL7 Message Processing windows. |

Can Add Final Signature to HIS Forms |
Allows putting the final signature into the Z0500 item to the HIS form in Patient>Documents>Hospice Item Set. |
|
Can Modify HIS Forms |
Allows unlocking signed or exported HIS forms, correcting clinical and non-clinical data, and resending it for export in Patient>Documents>Hospice Item Set. |
|
Can Inactivate HIS Forms |
Allows inactivating the exported and not exported HIS forms in Patient>Documents>Hospice Item Set. |
