Create MAR

Path: Patient>Clinical>MAR

1. Go to Patient>Clinical>MAR.
   1. If no MARs are created for this patient, the Confirm dialog opens asking whether you want to create a new MAR. Click Yes and proceed to Step 3.
   2. If some MAR records are already created for the patient, the MAR window opens in the Document mode.
2. Click Create MAR. This button is available if there is no active MAR at the moment.
   1. If there is an active MAR, the Deactivate MAR button is available and you must deactivate the currently active MAR to start a new one (see Deactivate MAR).
3. In the upper left of the window, enter the name of your MAR by replacing the default 'New MAR' text.
4. Save your changes.

The new MAR is created and activated but does not contain any medications. If a patient has an active MAR and you create another MAR for that patient, you are prompted to deactivate the first MAR before you create a new MAR. To prevent accidental documentation of future medications, you cannot create a MAR with a future date. Next, proceed with Add medications to MAR.
