Imported Medications window
Path: Patient>Clinical>Imported Medications
Prerequisite:
- To access this window, you need to have the appropriate privilege granted by the Netsmart Homecare administrator.
- Also, to confirm or deny medications, separate privileges are needed.
In the Imported Medications window, you can see the medications received and processed through the HL7 messages from Hospice Pharmacia.
- You can confirm or deny medications for the selected patient.
- When you confirm the medications, they appear in the Medications window and are deleted from the Imported Medications window.
The imported medications that are potential duplicates of the existing active medications are highlighted and you can hover over the warning icon to see the corresponding message. If there are potential duplicates, we recommend contacting Hospice Pharmacia for clarification. If you knowingly confirm a duplicate, you should consider placing the old medication on Hold in the Medications window to avoid any confusion about the duplication.
Important: For the medications confirmation and better handling the potential medication duplicates, we recommend working in Host Mode only and do not activate the Imported Medications window in Field Mode. Also, we recommend that you not edit the imported medications information. Please contact Hospice Pharmacia in case some updates are needed for the medications.
