Confirmed medications in Patient Medications window

Path: Patient>Clinical>Medications

Once the medication is confirmed, it is moved to the Medications window. Currently, Netsmart Homecare system supports three types of medications:

  • N - common medication
  • H - Hospice Pharmacia imported medication
  • M - Medi-Span medication

The type of the medication is displayed in the Type column. If this column is not visible, click the Settings button and select the columns you want to appear in the window.

You can also click the Show Detail button on the top pane of the window to see the medication details. For Hospice Pharmacia medications, almost all fields are read only, except for the internal Netsmart Homecare medication related fields (for example, Orders or May Administer related fields).

If you need to modify an imported medications, there is special privilege under the Patient>Clinical>Medications directory in the Administration>Configuration>Operators>Privileges window. It is disabled by default, but you can be turn it on if you need to edit the Hospice Pharmacia imported medications.
