Enter Care Plan Interventions

Path: Patient>Clinical>Care Plans

1. Assign a care plan to a patient (Assign Care Plan to Patient) or select an active care plan for which you want to enter interventions (Update Patient Care Plan).
2. In the Interventions Entry section, select Add Intervention.
3. In the Select interventions for care plan "<name>" dialog box, complete the following substeps.
   1. Select the Use checkbox for the appropriate interventions.
   2. In the Start Date field, select the date the intervention should become active.
   3. Verify the Start Physician. This field is automatically populated from the patient's physician information.
   4. In the Order Received section, select the Verbal checkbox if applicable and enter the corresponding Date and Time.
   5. Depending on your Business Unit > Order Settings, these fields may be required.
4. Click OK.
5. In Interventions Entry section, select the row with the new intervention. If the Intervention allows Modifies, click the ellipsis button and enter any additional patient-specific information regarding the intervention in the Modifier field and click OK.
6. Optional. If you do not want the system to generate a supplemental order for changes made after the certification order is approved or with a start date other than the date of the certification order, select the Do Not Create Order check box.
7. Click the lock icon to lock the intervention and add your electronic signature. 
   Note: Once you lock and sign an intervention, the lock icon appears in the Signed column.
8. Save your changes.
