Care Plan window

Path: Patient>Clinical>Care Plans

With the Care Plans window, you can identify specific plan of care for a patient and attach goals and interventions to it. Goals identify the results you would like to see for the care plan, and interventions – the task for completion towards the patient's goals. In the left section of the window, you can sort care plans by ID or name. If the health concern for the care plan is defined, it is shown next to the care plan name. You can select goals and interventions for the patient's specific diagnosis using Profiles.

Note: For general information on care plans, see About Care Plans. Goals, interventions, and the corresponding options for generating orders are defined in Administration > Clinical > Care Plans.

In this window, care plans are divided into four groups.

Group Definition

Active

Care plans that are currently associated with the patient.

Inactive

Care plans that were previously associated with the patient and then discontinued.

Not Used

Care plans that are available in the application.

Under Consideration

Care plans that were associated with the patient during the assessment completion.

After you define goals or interventions for such care plans, they are moved to the Active group. You can drag the care plan from Under Consideration to Not Used. When trying to close the Care Plans dialog, and some care plans in the Under Consideration group are present, the message appears asking you whether to move them to Not Used.
