Path: Transactions>General > Collections/Remittance
With the Rebill dialog of the Collections/Patient window, accessed from the Claims level of the Collections/Patient window in Transactions>General, you can rebill fee-for-service claims after posting payments to the line items for any claim lines with an outstanding balance.
- Once the claim is rebilled, it appears in yellow.
- Rebilled claims are not included in the EMC file generation.
- On the Claims level, select the appropriate claim.
- Click the Details button.
- Go to the Rebill tab, and then click the Rebill button. The Rebill dialog opens with the list of claim line items and the following statement: "A Rebill claim will be generated with the following line items".
- Click OK.
The Rebill function generates a zero-AR claim, which means all claim totals are blank.
The claim is assigned to the next billing cycle.
The collection line becomes yellow denoting that it is rebilled, and the Rebill Date field is automatically completed with the date on which you rebilled the claim.
