Recalculation of CSP claims if primary payer is PPS
Path: Claims > Process > Process a Cycle
Closed PPS claims are not voided and replaced automatically. Based on this, there can be two ways of the CSP claim recalculation depending on the billing method:
- Billing method for CSP is A (Bill at this pay source's rate) – Changes made to the closed PPS claim cause CSP claim recalculation.
- Billing method for CSP is B (Bill at the original pay source's rates) – Changes made to the closed PPS claim do not cause CSP claim recalculation.
There is an exception when the "replacement only" is generated for a final PPS claim. In this case, the CSP claim is not voided because the PPS "replacement only" claim is an informational claim and has a zero balance.
