Edit spend down

With the Edit Spenddown dialog, accessed from the Claims level of the Collections/Patient and Collections/Remittance windows in Transactions>General, you can distribute Spend Down amount to the claim line items manually or edit already distributed amount.

  • This dialog is not available for the claims that have Spend Down distributed during their generation.
  • This dialog contains information on the full amount available for the distribution and the amount that has been already distributed.
  • The grid contains information about the service provided date, revenue code, HCPCS code, CPT code and description, units, gross, standard, prepayment, and net amounts, DCN, paid and adjusted amounts, and balance.
  • All these data are for your information and cannot be edited within this dialog.
  • Here, you can edit only the Spenddown column.

 

  1. On the Claims level, select the appropriate claim.
  2. Click the Details button.
  3. Go to the Edit tab and click the Spenddown button.
  4. Add, edit, or delete entries in the Spenddown column for the claim line items as appropriate.
  5. Click OK. Your changes are applied to the selected claim in the Collections/Patient window.
  6. Save your changes.
