Order Code Settings by Root System Code (Auto-Sync)
This form sets order codes as either formulary or non-formulary at the facility level on an exception basis to the auto-sync, to account for non-master facilities in an auto-sync environment that may have different lists of on-formulary items.
Prerequisites
- Set up multiple system codes for the facility (Root System Code Definition form in myAvatar PM).
- Enable Autosync Maintenance via a registry setting.
- Select the order codes in Autosync Maintenance.
Deactivate an order code for a specific Root System Code
- Go to: Avatar Order Entry > Order Entry System Definitions > Order Code Settings By Root System Code (Auto-Sync)
- Select the Order Type.
- In the Order Code Search Method field:
- Select Contains search string to find order codes using any part of the text entered in the Order Code Search field.
- Select Starts with search string to find order codes using the beginning of the text entered in the Order Code Search field.
The 'Starts with search string' method may be especially helpful when using the Order Code Load/Update Utility Via FDB Database form due to the large number of order codes that can be generated, may of which can contain the same generic name.
- In the Order Code Search field, enter the search text and select.
- Select the order codes to deactivate from the results.
- In the Order Code Settings By Root System Code (Auto-Sync) section: if the registry setting "Enable Formulary Status Synchronization from Pharmacy System" is set to 'Y', the 'Display editable codes' check box is visible on the second section. Check this box to edit pharmacy order codes for a facility, if the order codes do not have a CGID or NDC value.
- Select an order code and edit it as appropriate.
- In the Order Code Set Non-Formulary By Root System Code (Auto-Sync) section, select whether a facility is allowed to mark order codes as formulary/non-formulary at the facility level, as an exception to auto-sync.
- Click Submit.
