Autosync Maintenance - PM

Use this form to select the code tables or dictionaries to be included in autosync maintenance spanning multiple facilities. Once selected, these code tables and dictionaries are edited in the Dictionary Update form of the master system code (commonly the BUILD system code). Once the dictionaries and code definitions are autosynced in the Master Facility, these changes are distributed to all facilities and sub-system codes.
Note: The values for tables and dictionaries in sub-system codes must match the master system code for autosync to be successful.

Prerequisites:

  • The 'Enable (Autosync)' and 'Autosync Facility' registry settings must be enabled.
  • Dictionaries that will be autosynced must be unlocked (Dictionary Update form).
  • You must have access to the BUILD system code (User Definition form).
  • You must log in to the BUILD system code to access Autosync Maintenance.
  1. Go to: Avatar PM > System Maintenance > System Definition
  2. In the Autosync Code Type field, select the code table or dictionary code.
  3. In the Autosync This Code Type field, select Yes to synchronize the code table.
  4. In the Dictionary Entity Database field, select the dictionary entity database to be synchronized.
  5. In the Default To All Or None Of The Dictionaries field:
    • Select All to have all dictionaries selected in the Dictionary Selection screen.
    • Select None to have no dictionaries selected in the Dictionary Selection screen.
  6. Select Launch Dictionary List to display the Dictionary Selection screen. Select the dictionaries, and click OK.
  7. Select Non-Matching System Code Report to generate the Non-Matching Dictionary Codes report, which details codes and dictionaries that have not been matched up for autosync.
  8. Select File Settings.
