Acknowledge an order
In myAvatar eMAR or eMAR NX, acknowledge an order so it can be administered.
The Order Acknowledgement dialog opens automatically when the order administration is initiated in eMAR or eMAR NX and an acknowledgement is required.
Prerequisites:

- The Acknowledgement Required registry setting determines if an order acknowledgement is required prior to administration in eMAR or eMAR NX.
- The eMAR Acknowledgement to OE registry setting determines if the acknowledgement that occurs in eMAR or eMAR NX also marks the order as acknowledged within the Nursing Order Acknowledgement form.
- The OE Acknowledgement To eMAR registry setting determines if the acknowledgement that occurs in the Nursing Order Acknowledgement form also marks the order as acknowledged within eMAR or eMAR NX.

- The user may receive a warning when trying to acknowledge an order based on role-based restrictions defined in the Order Entry User Role and Order Entry User Definition forms if the user is not permitted to acknowledge orders.
myAvatar eMAR
- Right-click in the Order Description box and choose Acknowledge Order from the popup menu.
- In the Order Acknowledgement dialog, complete the required fields.
- Select OK.
myAvatar eMAR NX
- On the hourly view or daily view, select the bulk Acknowledge button in the top row action buttons or select the vertical ellipsis (three dots) to the right of the order description.
- Choose Acknowledge Order from the selection list.
- In the Order Acknowledgement dialog, select the checkbox to the left of the order details.
- Choose Order Acknowledgement at the bottom of the dialog.
