The addresses may be defined in on the following locations: Insurance Plan, Insurance Company, Insurance Code, Branch, and Business Unit. The application determines the appropriate address to utilize based on a hierarchy system. The hierarchy is as follows: Insurance Plan, Insurance Company, Insurance Code, Branch and Business Unit. As the system goes through the hierarchy if an address is not defined at that level it looks to the next level to see if there is an address there, and continue until the highest level in the hierarchy, which is Business Unit.

The ability to define addresses to utilize for Claims, Orders and Reports can be completed using the Address Print Options Controls window. This window is accessible through Insurance Plans, Insurance Companies, Insurance Codes, Branches and Business Units by selecting the Print Address Exceptions check box. Below is a list of the areas where this function can be accessed in addition to the path for accessing the window.

  • Insurance Plan – Administration>Financial>Insurance Companies>Plans
  • Insurance Company – Administration>Financial>Insurance Companies>Company
  • Insurance Code – Administration>Financial>Insurance Codes>General
  • Branch – Administration>Configuration>Business Units>Branches
  • Business Units – Administration>Configuration>Business Units>Basic

The Address Print Option Controls window provides separate tabs for the following groups of the documentation: Claims/NOE/TAR, Orders/Clinical Documents, and Reports. The window provides the ability to identify which address to use for each documentation type. Addresses may be defined at the Organization, Business Unit or Branch level. A Custom address may also be defined within this window if the address needed for the documentation is not stored within Organization, Business Unit or Branch.
