DDF Utility – Setup Connections to Database Servers
Path: Administration>Utilities>DDF Copy Utility
- Open the DDF Copy Utility in Administration>Utilities.
- In the Welcome to DDF Utility Wizard dialog, click Settings.
- Add a row to define a new connection to the database and complete the following fields:
- Connection String – Click to open the Data Link Properties dialog where you can specify information about a data source and the means of connecting to that source.
- Connection Name – Verify the name of the server and database that were specified in the Data Link Properties dialog.
- Status – If the status is Passed, you can use the selected connection. If Failed, specify another connection.
- Use – Select the check box opposite the connection string to connect to the database server.
- Click Save.
NOTE: For copying data, the following must be completed in order:

- DDF Utility – Define Source and Target Data
- DDF Utility – Select Scenario
- DDF Utility – Copy Preview
- DDF Utility – Job Report
- DDF Utility – History Job Reports
