Unresolved Diagnoses
The Unresolved diagnoses (displayed as a yellow triangle with exclamation mark) warning is shown next to the patient name in the Patient, Schedule, MyDay, Alerts and Tasks components and the TimeLog window in the following situations:
- A free-text diagnosis is assigned.
- Solution: Free-text diagnoses are added. Convert such records to the valid codes. For more information, see Converting Free-Text Diagnoses and Procedures (Host Mode).
- An inpatient free-text diagnosis is assigned.
- Solution: Inpatient free-text diagnoses are added. Convert such records to the valid codes and then refresh the assessment. For more information, see Inpatient Diagnoses Workflows.
- A patient unconverted ICD-9 codes because the number of active ICD-9 diagnoses/procedures is greater than the number of the ICD-10 diagnoses/procedures.
- Solution: Make sure that all ICD-9 codes have corresponding ICD-10 codes.
- The primary diagnosis is not ICD-10 after the ICD-10 effective date.
- Solution: In the Admissions & Status window, assign the ICD-10 diagnosis to the patient.
All warnings (except free-text warning) depend on the effective and warning dates for the organization and the Show warnings for ICD-9 codes setting in Administration > Configuration > Business Units > Settings > Basic.
