Export Health Information

Export reportable lab results to providers.

Prerequisites:

  • The path to store electronic files must be defined in the Facility Defaults form (Output Path On Server For Electronic Files field).
  • LOINC codes that have been marked as reportable are available for selection:
    Yes selected in the Reportable LOINC Code field, Logical Observational Identifiers form.
  • SNOMED codes that have been marked as reportable are available for selection.
    Yes selected in the extended dictionary from the Reportable SNOMED Lab Results dictionary.
  1. In the Action field:
  • Select Compile to create a compile file.
    A report is generated that displays the compile details.
  • Select Delete to remove a compiled file.
  • Select Post to send the files to server location.
  • Select View to generate a report that displays the compile details.
  1. In the Target Agency Type field, select whether the submission will be sent to an ambulatory provider or public health agency.
    • If Ambulatory Provider is selected, "Lab Result" will be selected in the Type Of Information field.
  2. In the File Description field, enter a description for the compile.
  3. In the From Date field, enter the compile start date.
  4. In the Through Date field, enter the compile end date.
  5. In the Target Ambulatory Provider field, select the provider to export health information.
  6. In the Program Associated with Target Ambulatory Provider field, select the treatment program.
    • This field populates with programs where Yes is selected in the Is This Program Associated With An External Ambulatory Provider, in the Program Maintenance form.
  7. In the File field, select the appropriate file.
  8. In the Type of Information field, select:
  • Lab Results – results, imported through an HL7 interface, or entered in the Results Entry form.
    Once a batch has been compiled or posted a report will be displayed showing the batch details.
  • Surveillance – admissions with an associated problem, in the date range.
  • Immunizations – immunizations filed in the Client Health Maintenance Immunization form, in the date range.
    In the Immunization Sources to Include field, select the immunization sources.
  1. In the Immunization Sources to Include field, select immunization sources (Immunizations selected in the Type of Information field).
  2. Click Process when done.
