Prepare for upgrade to ProviderConnect NX

Complete the tasks described here to prepare for the upgrade to ProviderConnect NX:

  1. Plan and implement required technical and product updates.
  2. Establish a team responsible for overseeing and implementing the upgrade project.
  3. Document current contracting provider workflows and review current processes to identify improvements to implement as part of the upgrade.
    Note: It is important to understand how contracting providers currently use ProviderConnect to show them how workflows and navigation through workflows will change with the upgrade to ProviderConnect NX.
  4. Update System Code definitions.
    1. ProviderConnect NX leverages existing myAvatar System Code Definition functionality to configure access levels for contracting providers. 
    2. Netsmart recommends defining at least one System Code per contracting provider.
  5. Plan and implement User Role configuration or System Code access and access to forms and reports.
  6. Configure new modeled forms to publish in ProviderConnect NX, if needed.
  7. Plan and design configuration for reports and widgets to make available to contracting providers.
    Note: Your organization can publish configured reports and widgets for contracting providers as long as there is a required client or provider parameter on the report or widget.
  8. Plan and design a contracting provider’s view.
    Note: Use View Definition and NX View Definition in myAvatar to create different views for contracting providers.
  9. Establish testing and training plans for contracting providers.
