Permissions

Permissions in ProviderConnect are controlled by Access Groups. 

  • All user logins associated with an access group are allowed access to actions defined for the access group.
  • Different classes of users can be defined with a different set of access, and actions they can perform.
  • All ProviderConnect users must be associated with an access group.
  • Each user can be associated with one access group.

Admin

  • Admin users can view all data in ProviderConnect and make changes to any agency.
  • Service authorizations are display-only for admin users.
  • Admin users can edit or delete existing treatments but cannot create a treatment.
  • Admin users can add forms to ProviderConnect that have been modeled in Avatar PM and Avatar CWS.

Provider

  • Providers can view and update transaction and treatment information for the agency associated with that provider.
  • Coordinating providers (providers given Coordinating Provider access):
    • Can view client records across contracting provider agencies.
    • Can edit client records across contracting provider agencies.
    • Can create service authorization requests for a client assigned to any ProviderConnect agency.
    • Cannot edit information filed by other providers, except for service authorization requests.
  1. In the Main Menu select Utilities.
  2. Select Manage Permissions.
  3. Select the permissions that users assigned to the access group can perform.
