Product Update Form Description

The 'Order Entry Notifications Routing Table', 'Order Entry Notifications Unit Routing Table', and 'Order Entry Notifications Program Routing Table' forms are enhanced by the addition of a 'Suppress Printing Of Order Notifications For Discontinued Orders On Modify Actions' prompt. These prompts, in conjunction with a new 'Suppress Notification print if Discontinued on Modify' registry setting, allow the application to be configured to suppress the automatic printing of Order Entry Notifications for the Discontinue portion of a Modify action. In addition, when Order Entry Notifications are printed for an automatic Discontinue upon discharge, the client's location prior to discharge is shown (instead of no location being shown). Note: As part of the installation of this Update, two indices for the 'OrderEntry.order_entry_cs_utilities' table are rebuilt via a background process that will continue to run after the Update is reported as being loaded. Depending on the number of rows in this table, it could take a significant amount of time (potentially an hour or longer) to complete this task. While these indices are being rebuilt, forms, widgets, and reports that use data from this table might show inconsistent or incomplete results.

Scenario 1: Suppress Printing Of Order Notifications For Discontinued Orders

Specific Setup:

The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->Order Notifications->->->Suppress Notification print if Discontinued on Modify' Registry setting must be set to "R".
Please log out and then back in after completing the above configuration.
A client must have an active inpatient episode. (Client A).
“Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.

Steps

Access the 'Order Entry Notifications Routing Table'.
Select "Dietary" for the 'Select Order Type' field.
Select "Yes" for the 'Send Notification To Printer' field.
Select "Yes" for the 'Suppress Printing Of Order Notifications For Discontinued Orders On Modify Actions' field.
Click [Submit].
Select "Client A" and access the order entry console.
Create a Dietary-type order (Order A).
Modify "Order A"
Validate only the modified order printed.
Access the 'Order Entry Notifications Routing Table'.
Select "Dietary" for the 'Select Order Type' field.
Select "Yes" for the 'Send Notification To Printer' field.
Select "No" for the 'Suppress Printing Of Order Notifications For Discontinued Orders On Modify Actions' field.
Click [Submit].
Access the 'Order Entry Notifications Program Routing Table'.
Select "Dietary" for the 'Select Order Type' field.
Select "Client A's" program in the 'Select Program' field.
Select "Yes" for the 'Send Notification To Printer' field.
Select "Yes" for the 'Suppress Printing Of Order Notifications For Discontinued Orders On Modify Actions' field.
Click [Submit].
Access the order entry console and modify "Order A".
Validate only the modified order printed.
Access the 'Order Entry Notifications Program Routing Table'.
Select "Dietary" for the 'Select Order Type' field.
Select "Client A's" program in the 'Select Program' field.
Select "Yes" for the 'Send Notification To Printer' field.
Select "No" for the 'Suppress Printing Of Order Notifications For Discontinued Orders On Modify Actions' field.
Click [Submit].
Access the 'Order Entry Notifications Unit Routing Table'.
Select "Dietary" for the 'Select Order Type' field.
Select "Client A's" unit in the 'Select Unit' field.
Select "Yes" for the 'Send Notification To Printer' field.
Select "Yes" for the 'Suppress Printing Of Order Notifications For Discontinued Orders On Modify Actions' field.
Click [Submit].
Access the order entry console and modify "Order A".
Validate only the modified order printed.

Scenario 2: Order Entry Notification (Post-Discharge) Report Validation

Specific Setup:

The 'Avatar Order Entry->Facility Defaults->Order Management->->->Suppress Order DC Upon Discharge For Tx Settings' Registry setting must be set to no value.
Please log out and then back in after completing the above configuration.
A client must have an active inpatient episode. (Client A).
“Client A” must have a ‘Date of Birth’, ‘Sex’ and address on file in the ‘Update Client Data’ form, as well as information filed in the ‘Allergies and Hypersensitivities’ form, ‘Diagnosis’ form, and in the ‘Height’ and ‘Weight’ fields in the ‘Vitals Entry’ form.

Steps

Select "Client A" and access the Order Entry Console.
Create a Dietary-type order (Order A).
Access the 'Bed Assignment' form and take note of "Client A's" 'Unit', 'Room', and 'Bed'.
Discharge "Client A".
Access the 'Order Entry Notifications' form.
Populate the required fields for an individual client, selecting "Client A" in the 'Select Client' field.
Select "Dietary" in the 'Order Type(s)' field.
Select "Individual" in the 'Print All Notifications or Individual Notification' field.
Select the most recent order in the 'Select Order Notification To Print' field.
Click [Process] and validate the report contains "Client A's" 'Unit', 'Room', and 'Bed'.
