STD Dashboard
Manage patient appointments and view appointment notifications.
The STD module opens to the dashboard, which lists the day's appointments for the clinic, beginning with the earliest appointment time. From here you can check notifications, open an appointment, and edit an existing appointment.
Patients are seen in the following order:
- Priority
- Lobby #
- Time
Dashboard Features
From left to right, the dashboard columns list the following information.
Notification - This column indicates if there is a notification for the appointment, identified by a gray bell with a numbered red circle . The numbered red circle shows the number of notifications for the patient. Notifications refer to the following in-progress events: Lab Test, Treatment, and Vaccine submission information.
# Lobby number - The lobby number indicates the order the patient was checked in.
Time - This is the patient's appointment time.
Staff - This is the staff providing the service.
Service - This is a description of the service.
Note - These are notes about the appointment.To enter a note, click the pencil icon .
Status - This is the status of the appointment, which is brought over from myAvatar for each patient when you open the dashboard.
Room - This is the room number where the service will be provided.
Edit appointment - Click the pencil icon in the next-to-last column to open the appointment.
Open appointment - Click the arrow in the last column to open the main view that shows the encounter information and appointment details.
Resolve a notification
- On the dashboard, click the Notifications tab. The list of the client's notifications appears.
- To open the pending notification, click the arrow icon
in the last column. The module opens to the area that requires attention.
In the following example, The Treatment > Meds/Procedures area is highlighted to identify the point in the workflow. In the main view, the green highlight indicates the item that needs to be resolved.
Add a note
Open an appointment
- In the appointment row, click the arrow icon
. This opens the Staff Communication form, which lists all of the patient's encounters, beginning with the most recent. You can also view details about the current appointment.
Edit an appointment
- In the appointment row, click the pencil icon
in the next-to-last column. This opens the edit window.
- To move the appointment to the beginning of the dashboard list, select the Priority check box.
The appointment is now in the first row and is highlighted in green.
- The Status field is display-only and indicates if the appointment is scheduled.
- In the Room field, enter the room name or number.
- In the Note field, enter a new note or edit an existing one. Use notes to record information such as comments on the patient's mood or the need for an interpreter.
- Click Save.
