Encounters
In the STD module, on the Encounters form you can view details about patient encounters and appointments.
On the main menu click Encounters.
- Demographic and visit information such as the patient's language, visit date, location, program, episode number, site, and photo ID checked is entered in myAvatar on the Intake form and is for display only in the STD module.
- The Encounter Information grid includes an entry for each encounter with the patient. Encounters are listed by visit date, beginning with the most recent encounter.
- A padlock in the first column indicates an encounter that is locked and cannot be edited again. Encounters can be locked and unlocked on the Post-Discharge > Follow Up form.
Review encounters and appointment details
- In the Encounter Information grid, click a row to select an encounter. The corresponding appointment information appears in the Appointment Details section.
- The Lobby Number box shows the number assigned to the patient at check in, if one was assigned. Enter or change the number.
- The Language, Visit Date, Location, Site, Episode Number, Visit Type, and Photo ID Checked information is for display only and cannot be modified.
Note: The location associated with the patient episode is based on the clinic and program and is populated automatically. - In the Alias Description box, record any aliases the patient has used in the past.
- On the toolbar above the menu, click the Save icon
