Roles window

Path: Administration>Configuration>Roles

With the Roles window, you can define a set of security privileges that can be associated with a job function. After you define a role, you can assign it to operators and groups who will inherit all the security privileges defined for this role. When creating a new role, you can use an existing one and base a new role on it. For the general information, see Security Roles Overview.

You can add, modify, and delete the Netsmart Homecare roles. For the hardcoded Netsmart Mobile Homecare roles, you can only change the default privileges. For details, see Role types predefined. To add a new role or edit an existing one, use the Roles – Basic tab. To assign or remove the privileges for the selected role, use the Roles – Privileges tab.

With the Roles grid of this window, you can view the following information for all existing roles:

  • Name – The role name.
  • Description – The role description.
  • Application – The name of the application where the role is used.
