Field Values for letters

The following field values may be used in letters to merge patient and resource information.

Important: These values should be enclosed in braces {} when inserted in your letter template.

Field Description

AREA_HOME_TELEPHONE

This field will insert, into your letter, the telephone number associated with the patient's active address.

CONTRACT_NAME

This field will insert the Resource Type description with the word contract following it into your letter. The Resource Type is obtained from within Resource > General > Roles.

LC_HE_SHE

This may be used when you wish to indicate he or she as part of a letter. The LC stands for lower case characters.

LC_HIM_HER

This may be used when you wish to indicate him or her as part of a letter. The LC stands for lower case characters.

LC_HIS_HER

This may be used when you wish to indicate his or her as part of a letter. The LC stands for lower case characters.

NAME_FIRST

This would pull in the resource's first name as indicated in Resource > General > Basic.

NAME_LAST

This would pull in the resource's last name as indicated in Resource > General > Basic.

NAME_MIDDLE

This would pull in the resource's middle name as indicated in Resource > General > Basic.

NO_MAIL

This refers to the no mailing setting in the Resource > General > Address & Phone window.

ORGANIZATION_NAME

This will insert the organization's name when the resource's sex is indicated as an organization. This information is located in Resource > General > Basic.

PATIENT_CODE

This will insert the patient's code that is identified within Patient > General > Basic.

PATIENT_ID

This will insert the patient's identification number that is associated with the patient, in the SQL database.

PATIENT_INFO

This will insert into your letter the patient's date of death as identified in Resource > General > Bereavement. If the bereavement window was auto populated by the system, the source of date of death comes from the Admissions & Status window.

PATIENT_NAME

This will insert the patient's first and last name as indicated in Patient > General > Basic.

PRINT_LETTER_ADDRESS

This will insert the patient's active mailing address as identified in Patient > General > Basic.

PT_DATE_OF_BIRTH

This will insert the patient's birth date as noted in Patient > General > Basic.

PT_DATE_OF_DEATH

This will insert the patient's date of death as noted in Patient > General > Admissions & Status.

PT_NAME_FIRST

This will insert the patient's first name as indicated in Patient > General > Basic.

PT_NAME_LAST

This will insert the patient's last name as indicated in Patient > General > Basic.

PT_NAME_MIDDLE

This will insert the patient's middle name as indicated in Patient > General > Basic.

PT_SEX

This will insert the sex of the patient as indicated in Patient > General > Basic.

RELATION

This will associate the relationship of the patient to the bereaved person.

RELATION_FIRST_NAME

This will insert the relationship the bereaved person was to the deceased plus the patient's first name. For example: your brother John. When the relationship is identified as "Other" the system will insert "loved one" into your letter.

RESOURCE_ID

This will insert the resource's code that is identified within Resource > General > Basic.

RESOURCE_TYPE

This will insert the resource type code as defined in Resource > General > Roles.

RESOURCE_TYPE_DESCRIPTION

This will insert the resource type description as defined in Resource > General > Roles.

SALUTATION

In Resource > General > Basic users have the ability to define the salutation for a letter. If you utilize this field in your letter the information from Resource > General > Basic > Salutation field will be merged into your letter.

TITLE

This will insert the prefix associated with the resource in Resource > General > Basic in addition to the person's last name.

TODAY

Utilize this field if you wish to merge today's date onto your letter.

UC_HE_SHE

This may be used when you wish to indicate he or she as part of a letter. The UC stands for upper case characters.

UC_HIM_HER

This may be used when you wish to indicate him or her as part of a letter. The UC stands for upper case characters.

UC_HIS_HER

This may be used when you wish to indicate his or her as part of a letter. The UC stands for upper case characters.

ZIP

This field will merge the zip code of the resource into your letter. The zip code is located in Resource > General > Address & Phone > Zip Code field.
