Document resource family approval materials

Document the materials associated with a resource family's initial approval. Here, you can add references on a family's behalf and document inquiries the family makes regarding their application.

Menu paths 

  • Resource Families > Foster/Adoptive Home > Initial Approval > References
  • Resource Families > Foster/Adoptive Home > Initial Approval > Initial Inquiry

Add references 

Called "family collateral," these are references you can enter on the family's behalf.

  1. From the modules toolbar, click  select Resource Families. Navigate to the appropriate path. 
  2. In the Select Family field, enter search criteria and click the magnifier button. 
  3. Search for and select a family.
  4. Navigate to the following path: Resource Families > Foster/Adoptive Home > Initial Approval > References.
  5. In the toolbar, click New Event Family Collateral.
  6. In the Profile Collaterals dialog, complete the following field:
  • Collateral - Click the magnifier button to search for and select a person from the All People Table dialog. 
  • Relationship - Click the magnifier button to search for and select a relationship from the Relationship Collateral Table dialog. 

Document inquiries 

Enter the type of inquiry, the date and time, and the staff person who took the inquiry on behalf of the applicant.

  1. From the modules toolbar, click select Resource Families. Navigate to the appropriate path. 
  2. In the Select Family field, enter search criteria and click the magnifier button. 
  3. Search for and select a family.
  4. Navigate to the following path: Resource Families > Foster/Adoptive Home > Initial Approval > Initial Inquiry.
  5. In the toolbar, click New Event select a type of inquiry such as a letter or a phone call. 
  6. In the Profile Applicant Inquiry History dialog, click the calendar button to enter information in the Date/Time field. 
  7. Click Save.
