Set up unit and room scheduling

In myEvolv, Front Desk unit and room scheduling requires setting the room capacity and has options to make a unit required and override the unit capacity.  

Prerequisites:

  • System administrator permissions
  • Facilities and service locations have been set up

Set unit capacity

Set the total capacity for a unit at the facility.

  1. Go to: Agency > Service Locations > Sites/Residentials > Capacity.
  2. Choose Select a Facility and select the facility.
    Result: A table displays the units at the facility.
  3. In the row for a unit, select Actions then Open Form.
  4. Under Capacity Information, enter the Total capacity.
  5. Select Save.

Make a unit required

Selecting the Is Unit Required option makes a unit required on the Events2Do form for people per facility. For example, the unit is required when the facility is selected during Events2Do scheduling for a person in Front Desk or when scheduling an individual task.

  1. Go to Agency > Service Locations > Sites/Residentials > General Information.
  2. Choose Select a Facility and select the facility.
  3. Under General Information, select the Is Unit Required check box.
  4. Select Save.

Override unit capacity

Selecting the Override Unit Capacity Validation option allows the user to schedule a room even though capacity has been reached.

  1. Go to Agency > Service Locations > Sites/Residentials > General Information.
  2. Choose Select a Facility and select the facility.
  3. Select Override Unit Capacity Validation.
  4. Select Save.
