Program setup details

Program setup fields

The table below provides additional detail for some program setup fields that may not be self-explanatory.

Form field  Description Additional Details
Is Active  Enables/disables a program from being available for enrollments.
Program Type Designates the type of program based on setups. Examples: Clinic and Education, IDD, Grant Funded, and others.
Enrollment Required to Receive Services Allows clients to receive services from a program prior to being enrolled. Example: In a Day Treatment program, an agency may be able to bill for pre-admission assessments. To allow for services to be provided/billed without enrollment, select this option.
Show Non Required Programs in Service Entry

Allows programs to be visible in Service Entry when enrollment is not required.

This option is only available on Outpatient/Other.

This would allow for all clients to potentially have services documented in this program.
Allow Referral Entry without Enrollment Allows services to be created for a client referred to the program but not yet enrolled. This option can be used as an alternative to having the program set up as 'Enrollment not Required to Receive Services'. Services must be entered in the Referral module and cannot be entered in Service Entry.
Allow Enrollment in the Future Allows for clients to be enrolled in a program with a future date.  If a client is already enrolled in a Care Day/Respite program, they cannot have another Care Day Enrollment entered with a future date. A person can only be enrolled in one at a time, so the existing enrollment must first be end-dated.
Services Created for Days of Placement Indicates the program can bill for a client's placement in the facility.
Not an Attendance Based Program Keeping this option unchecked allows for attendance to be taken within the Attendance module.
Only Show Services from Treatment Plan in DSR If using DSR (Daily Service Record) functionality in myEvolv, Netsmart recommends selecting this option. Selecting this option prevents other services provided to the client from being listed in the DSR service entry screen.
Validate Other Activities Time Against Parent Validates that the duration of other activities do not exceed the duration of the parent event. When this is checked, in order for it to work properly, it is necessary to add a Before Save validation function on the form used for entry of parent event. 'validateDurationTotal()'
Encounter Code Used for CCDs and for Meaningful Use measures as reporting code.
Output service staff for rendering provider on attendance billing Outputs the actual person completing attendance on claims. By default, attendance billing outputs the primary worker assigned to a client regardless of the person who is completing attendance.
