End date a staff member
When a staff member leaves the organization they need to be end-dated in the system so they are not available to be assigned work. Before you can end date a staff member, any events or services currently assigned to them will need to be routed to other staff members or resolved in another way.
When you attempt to end date a staff member and they have outstanding events and services, the Staff End Date utility lists the outstanding items:
- routed events that need to be reassigned
- submitted events pending approval
- events not signed/submitted
With the Staff End Date Utility you can view details for an outstanding event or print a report that lists all outstanding events. You cannot take further action on events from this utility.
- Go to Agency > Staff & Security > Staff Information > Staff Profiles with Security OR Agency > Staff & Security > Staff Information > Staff Profiles without Security.
- Search for and select a staff member.
- Click Actions and click Open Form.
- Enter an end date. If the staff has outstanding events or services, the following message displays:
This staff has records pending approval. You need first to resolve that before adding an end date.
- The Staff End Date Utility opens and displays the events that need to be resolved before end dating the staff member. These include routed events that need reassigned, submitted events pending approval, and events not signed or submitted.
- Click View to see event details; click Print to print a report that lists all outstanding events.
- Click Close.
- Follow your agency's procedure for resolving outstanding events.
- Return to Agency > Staff & Security > Staff Information > Staff Profiles with Security OR Agency > Staff & Security > Staff Information > Staff Profiles without Security and end date the staff member.
