Enable NIAM for a staff member

Update a staff member's record so they can use the Netsmart Identity Access Manager (NIAM) instead of Active Directory to log in to myEvolv NX.

Prerequisites: 

  • The myEvolv NX system is configured for NIAM.
  • The staff member is assigned to the Identity Provider configured for the agency.

  1. Go to: Agency >  Staff & Security > Staff Information > Staff Profiles with Security.
  2. Choose Select Name; search for the staff member and select.
    Result: A table displays the staff member's information. 
  3. Select Actions then Open Form in the far right column.
  4. In the User Access section:
    1. Clear the Use Active Directory checkbox.
    2. Enter the staff member's Login Name and Password.
      Note: These fields are not related to NIAM but they are required. 
    3. Select the Use NIAM Authentication checkbox.
    4. For the NIAM Username, enter a username for the staff member that is unique within the agency, such as the staff member's email address or their Active Directory name (without the domain).
  5. Select Save.
