Setup Finance
Depending upon your agency's billing needs, your setups might vary. Initial setups of Finance are done with a Netsmart representative. However, your agency may implement new lines of business which require additional setups.
Note: This article applies to myEvolv.
The following features are included with Finance:
- Automatically or manually generate claims to funders
- Generate output files that can be sent to funders
- Automatically or manually generate invoices to pay vendors by check or direct deposit
- Record all payments made by funders and made to vendors
- GL sub-ledger system
- Create Manual G/L Adjustments as needed
- Handle Retroactive Rates over time, past and present

Basic finance configuration consists of setting up the following areas:
Clinical Setup Prerequisites
The following are the basic clinical setup that directly impacts Finance setup:
- Benefit Assignments - Enter the client's funding. Self Pay/ Co-Pay information is also entered here - Client > Client Information > Billing/Payment Information > Benefit Assignments.
- Enrollment information - Enter client enrollment information including programs, facilities, units, and so on. - Client > Client Information > Critical Information > Enrollment Information.
- Placement disruptions - Enter placement disruptions which allow you to hold the client's place in the program - Client > Client Information > Critical Information > Placement Disruptions
- Services - Enter services for the client - Client > Case Management > Service Management > Service Entry
- Billing and Payment Authorization - Used to enter services that are authorized for a time period, and/or number of units to be billed to or paid by a funder - Client > Client Information > Personal Information > Benefit Assignments
- Diagnosis Information - Diagnosis Information can be used as a billing qualifier - Client > Client Information > Health Information > Diagnoses Information.
