Setup Events

Overview

Most components of the myEvolv system are based on an Event model. This model allows for the flexibility of the system that allows it to be significantly customized by an agency. Events are actions that need to happen or have happened to an individual (or group). All events are contained within Event Categories. An event can only be defined within one Category. Each Category in the system is defined and supplied by Netsmart.

Attributes of Events:

  • People, Groups, and Profiles can have events.
  • Many events can be scheduled.
  • Events can trigger other events.
  • Events can be indicated as being services.  When indicated as a service, they will abide by rules of services, be available in the service entry screen with other service events, and can be billed or paid for.
  • Events can have Progress Notes attached to them.
  • Each event can launch its own agency defined custom form.
  • Security can be applied to each event (via Worker Roles).
  • All events can be locked and unlocked, and approved.  Who can lock and unlock and to which events are defined by your Agencies setup for staff security. Who and when an event is locked are automatically captured by the system.  Common practice is to enable most users to lock events and for only supervisors to unlock them.
  • There are two main types of events: System Events and Non-System/User Defined Events.
  • For workflows, events such as program enrollment, referrals, and modifiers cannot be triggered by a modifier.

An Event is information about actions that happened to people or groups. Processes (such as intake) are not events but have events associated with them. An event must be assigned to an Event Category. Events can be in only one category at a time.

Note: The Event Setup area is located in both the Agency and Setup modules.
