OrderConnect Non-ISC Items

Continue

• The existing OrderConnect Non-ISC medication item will be continued. No change will be made. A record will be entered stating that a medication order was reconciled.

Create New

This creates a new entry for a medication item. The Type to Add field provides the following choices when creating a new item, depending on your prescribing rights:

• OrderConnect New Order
  • The OrderConnect Custom Orders screen appears upon reconciliation for you to complete and submit the prescriptions.
• OrderConnect Non-ISC Order
  • The OrderConnect Non-ISC item will be created automatically in OrderConnect.
• Avatar Order Entry Order
  • The Avatar Order Entry Order screen will appear upon reconciliation for you to complete and submit the orders.

The New Medication to Add column will either search using OrderConnect or the myAvatar Order Entry Medication catalog, depending on what is selected in the Type to Add field.

Create New (and Discontinue/Inactivate)

• This action allows you to create a new medication item while automatically discontinuing the Non-ISC medication item on the grid that is being used for the reconciliation.

Discontinue/Inactivate

• The existing Non-ISC medication item will be inactivated in OrderConnect automatically using the reconciliation date as the end date for the medication item.
• The Non-ISC medication item will not display in the Medication Reconciliation section.
