This course will begin with a system reporting overview that covers how to utilize the myAvatar database tools to generate meaningful views and widgets, utilize system reports, and gain an understanding of the myAvatar table structure. In addition, you will learn how to leverage basic Crystal Reports as well as the myAvatar forms and tables that will be utilized for effective and efficient data retrieval. We will learn how to utilize the myAvatar database to generate meaningful views and widgets using a variety of myAvatar forms. In addition, we will review advanced reporting techniques that you can utilize, such as SQL Commands in Crystal Reports and SQL View Definition in myAvatar, for improved report performance.

Objectives:

  • Review the myAvatar system schema and architecture 
  • Create new console home views 
  • Link additional views to the home view 
  • Create console widgets for home and chart view 
  • Create widgets via the widget wizard for home view and chart view 
  • Edit existing reports 
  • Create Crystal reports 
  • Join clinical/billing tables in a report 
  • Write basic SQL commands

  • Create sub-reports  
  • Additional tools including Graphs, Charts, Cross Tabs and Running totals
