myAvatar - Administrator- Clinical

Day 1

Day 2

Participant Guide

In this program, you will review the treatment plan and explore its customization options. Through the use of myAvatar tools such as registry settings, dictionary values, and system defaults, you will learn how to improve workflows and increase adherence to the Golden Thread. Further, you will examine the various progress note types and learn how to customize the progress note forms to meet clinical and business needs. This program will cover reducing keystrokes through the use of templates and improving workflow by using Document Routing.

In addition, you will review and configure existing myAvatar CWS forms that are often under-utilized, and explore new features and functionality. When implemented, these forms, features, and functionalities can improve workflows, alert staff to important client details, and improve the documentation of the various tasks performed each day.

You will use the tools in myAvatar to correct data entry errors and investigate how dictionaries and registry settings can ensure the reasons for changes are well documented. In addition, the program will cover functionality that connects the billing charge correction process directly to the correction of progress notes when a progress note is voided.

  • Start the Golden Thread process by identifying key assessment elements and mapping those elements to the problem list and treatment plan.
  • Customize treatment plans through the use of libraries, dictionaries, and registry settings.
  • Configure Set System Defaults.
  • Configure and maintain progress note form(s) that best meet clinical and business processes.
  • Use Registry Settings, Dictionary Update and Set System Defaults to customize functionality.
  • Use Document Routing for progress notes.
  • Create and maintain templates.
  • Understand the scheduling calendar icons and how to launch specific forms from the scheduling calendar.
  • Configure and use the following myAvatar CWS forms: Product Assessments (Health and Review of Systems), Clinical Reconciliation, Health Maintenance, Client Education, Caseloads, Vitals, Client Observation, Allergies and Hypersensitivities.
  • Troubleshoot and correct errors to improve data accuracy within myAvatar CWS forms. Forms and topics include: Product Final to Draft Override, Pending Approval to Draft Override, Final to Draft Override, Treatment Plan Status Override Form, Treatment Plan Deletion, Append Document, Void a Progress Note and Delete/Re-assign To-Do Item.

myAvatar- Administrator - Modeling

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

This program is about form design, data collection, and basic modeling in myAvatar RADplus, including an introduction to event logic to create intuitive forms and improve data entry. After the learning the basic concepts, you will incorporate advanced event logic and table aliasing to improve workflow and increase data capture, such as service entry upon completion of an assessment.

You will then review the site-specific modeling tool within myAvatar, explore the differences between modeling and site-specific modeling, examine how the data is stored within the tables, and learn how to modify reports when site-specific data is added to core forms. By fully utilizing site-specific modeling, you can leverage core system functionality while improving your organization’s ability to address data collection needs.

The last emphasis will be on the user experience. Event logic and product custom logic will be explored for improving form usability. Additionally, you will explore templates, Templates on Demand, Form Bundler, Chart View properties, and reporting options for your newly-modeled form to improve data accuracy and the ability to use the data meaningfully.

  • Create a basic form in myAvatar RADplus, including:
    • Developing a specification from a paper form.
    • Envelope Definition.
    • Table Definition (primary, secondary, and multiple iteration tables).
    • Form Definition.
  • Refine the basic form to include:
    • Pop-up alerts based on user entry.
    • Secondary form based on user entry.
    • Perform calculations on data entry fields.
    • File service information through a modeled form.
  • Configure and maintain forms supporting the Golden Thread:
    • Site-Specific Section Modeling for Treatment Plan.
    • Site-Specific Section Modeling for Progress Note (Group and Individual).
    • Form Documentation.
    • Import Reports (for command button launch).
    • Set System Defaults (CWS).
    • Site Specific Section Modeling for CWS forms.
    • Site Specific Section Modeling for PM forms.

myAvatar - Administrator - Advanced Modeling

Day 1

Day 2

This course will focus on expanding the system functionality with RADplus modeling tools. The RADplus modeling tool summary options serve a valid purpose, but there are times when you want to provide scoring mechanisms based on a dictionary selection rather than having the clinician enter scores. Or, perhaps you want to launch a form based on a clinical response. ScriptLink provides the ability to do both as well as default data into fields based on specific criteria. This program also provides an overview of web services.
  • Create a form for Service Documentation.
  • Use SQL Query to create drop-down lists.
  • Use extended attributes to increase form logic.
  • Explore Form Designer to improve form layout, add widgets and create quick links.
  • Identify the types of outcomes ScriptLink can produce
  • Enable ScriptLink through Form Designer
  • Test ScriptLink functionality
  • Use the ScriptLink logs for troubleshooting
