User Definition - Document Management Section
Define whether the user can access and manage Document Management functionality.
Prerequisites:
- Document Management functionality must be installed.
- You must have permission to the Document Management forms (Forms and Tables section).
- Forms must be defined in the Document Management Definition form.

In the Is this user a Document Management Administrator field, select Yes to give the user full Document Management administrator rights. If No is selected, rights to individual items can be granted to the user. - In the fields Forms Allowed To View, Forms Allowed To Scan, Forms Allowed To Print, and Forms Allowed to Void, select functions the user can perform for Document Management forms.
Note: The Forms Allowed To Scan field displays when document scanning is enabled.- None
- All Forms
- EMR Only - grants access to electronic medical records. Users can view forms without "r;Exclude from Electronic Medical Record" selected (Document Management Definition form).
- EMR and Specify - grants access to electronic medical records, and specific forms. Users can view forms without "r;Exclude from EMR" selected (Document Management Definition form).
- Specify Forms
- If specifying permissions (when selecting either EMR and Specify, or Specify Forms), the Select Forms To View/Scan/Print/Void button will be enabled for that category. This allows you to choose the specific forms associated with this user's permissions.
- In the View Voided Documents field, select Yes to allow the user to view documents that have been voided.
If Yes, choose the void reasons that are associated with documents the user can view in the Select Void Reason Types Allowed To View field. - In the Forms To Send Upload Notifications, select whether the user should be notified of a document upload for All Forms, None of the forms, or if you want to Specify Forms.
- If Specify Forms, click Select Forms for Upload Notifications, to open a Select Forms window.
- If All Forms or Specify Forms, select whether or not to Limit Notifications to Caseload Only.
- In the Capture Modes Allowed field, select the features for which Document Capture forms will prompt the user.
- Import and Scan - the user will be prompted for the capture mode when they scan.
- Import Only - the capture mode prompt will be omitted for this user.
- Scan Only - the capture mode prompt will be omitted for this user.
- In the Allow CCD Export field, select whether or not to provide this user with permission to perform a CCD export.
Annotation Permissions
Define permissions for using annotations with Perceptive documents.
Note: These fields are only enabled when Perceptive is turned on in the Document Management Defaults form.
- In the Annotations Allowed To Create field, select whether the user is allowed to create All Annotations, only Specific Annotations, or None at all.
If Specific Annotations, select which ones in the Select Annotations To Create field. - In the Annotations Allowed To Delete field, select whether the user is allowed to delete All Annotations, only Specific Annotations, or None at all.
If Specific Annotations, select which ones in the Select Annotations To Delete field. - In the Annotations Allowed To Hide field, select whether the user is allowed to hide All Annotations, only Specific Annotations, or None at all.
If Specific Annotations, select which ones in the Select Annotations To Hide field. - In the Annotations Allowed To Modify field, select whether the user is allowed to modify All Annotations, only Specific Annotations, or None at all.
If Specific Annotations, select which ones in the Select Annotations To Modify field. - In the Annotations Allowed To View field, select whether the user is allowed to view All Annotations, only Specific Annotations, or None at all.
If Specific Annotations, select which ones in the Select Annotations To View field.
