CareGuidance Alert Settings
Manage CareGuidance alert settings.
The CareGuidance Alert Settings grid displays alerts that may be triggered for the client, when certain data is filed in myAvatar that is associated with an active CareGuidance rule.
In order for a rule to display, the user must be associated with a staff member that has the client in their caseload.
CareGuidance rules are provided by Netsmart, and managed in the CareGuidance Rule Definition form.
- The ER Visit (ADTE) and Hospitalization (ADTH) rules allow you to receive an alert when a client is admitted to the ER or hospitalized at an outside organization respectively. These rules are added when the Enable CareGuidance ADT Alerts field is set to Yes (CareGuidance Alerts Configuration section of the CareConnect HIE Configuration form).

Columns
- The Enabled Date indicates the date that this rule was enabled.
- The Last Modified Date indicates the date that this rule was last edited, or disabled through the CareGuidance Alert Settings field on the Set System Defaults form.
- Click the Alert Setting column to define a CareGuidance alert setting for this user.
The following alert settings are available:- 0 - Not Applicable
- No alert displays when the rule is triggered.
- 1 - Alert
- An alert displays in the My To Do's widget, when the rule is triggered.
The user will receive an alert and can acknowledge the alert.
The user will not have access to the web page that contains associated reference information for the alert.
The user role this alert is assigned to will receive the alert.
Users associated with the user role can acknowledge the alert
Users associated with the user role will not have access to the web page that contains associated reference information for the alert.

- An alert displays in the My To Do's widget, when the rule is triggered.
The user will receive an alert and can acknowledge the alert.
The alert includes a link to a web page for more information on the alert.
The user role this alert is assigned to will receive the alert.
Users associated with the user role can acknowledge the alert.
Users associated with the user role can access the web page that contains associated reference information for the alert. 
- An alert displays in the My To Do's widget, when the rule is triggered.
- 0 - Not Applicable
- The Action Forms column allows you to assign a specific data entry form to a specific alert type. This form may be accessed via the To Do Widget.
Available forms are filtered for each alert based on whether or not the user has permissions to the form in User Definition or User Role Definition.- In cases where a user is assigned to multiple User Roles which have different forms associated to the same alert, the User Role with the highest Alert Setting, alphabetically first among User Roles with the same value, prevails.
- In cases where the programs associated to the System Code which the user logged in with don't permit form entry, the form will not appear in the To Do Widget.
