Set System Defaults
This form allows you to define settings that affect basic myAvatar CWS functionality.
- Go to: Avatar CWS > CWS Utilities > Set System Defaults
- In the Report Title fields, type the titles that will be used for myAvatar CWS reports.
Note: The Disable Progress Notes of Type, and Restrict Progress Notes To Active Episodes fields affect all myAvatar CWS progress notes forms. - In the Appointment Display (Max of 100) field, select what to display when associating a progress note to a service or an appointment using the Note Addresses Which Existing Service/Appointment field in the Progress Notes forms. At least two items must be selected. Each item has an associated width in parentheses.
- The Appointment Display Order field lists the order in which the display items are selected and will appear.
- The Appointment Display Total Count field displays the sum of all selected items. The total may not exceed 100.
- Select Clear Appointment Display Order to clear any previously selected items in the Appointment Display Order field.
- In the Service Display (Max of 100) field, select what to display when associating a progress note to a service or an appointment using the Note Addresses Which Existing Service/Appointment field in the Progress Notes forms. At least two items must be selected. Each item has an associated width in parentheses.
- The Service Display Order field lists the order in which the display items are selected and will appear.
- The Service Display Total Count field displays the sum of all selected items. The total may not exceed 100.
- Select Clear Service Display Order to clear any previously selected items in the Service Display Order field.
- In the Do Not Show Appointment Status field, select the appointment status values to exclude from the Note Addresses Which Existing Service/Appointment field when writing a progress note against an existing appointment or service. The appointments and service with those selected will not be listed or accessible.
- If appropriate, in the Disable Progress Notes of Type field, select the select the categories for which to disable progress notes. This setting affects the Progress Note For field of the following forms and any modeled sections:
- Inpatient Progress Notes
- Inpatient Progress Notes (Diagnosis Entry)
- Ambulatory Progress Notes
- Ambulatory Progress Notes (Diagnosis Entry).
Note: This is a system wide setting and will affect all client progress note forms.
- In the Restrict Progress Notes to Active Episodes field, choose whether progress notes will be restricted to active client episodes.
This setting affects the following forms and any modeled sections: Inpatient Progress Notes, Inpatient Progress Notes (Diagnosis Entry), Ambulatory Progress Notes, Ambulatory Progress Notes (Diagnosis Entry).
This is a system wide setting and will affect all client progress note forms.- Select Yes to make progress notes available for active client episodes only.
- Select No allows progress notes to be created for active and inactive client episodes.
- In the Maximum Number of Progress Notes to Show in Chart Review field, enter the number of days to include in the query of Progress Notes. Valid values are 0-365.
Note: A null value or a large number might impact the response time and can have an impact on performance due to the amount of data being passed from the server to the requesting device, or potentially prevent the chart from displaying properly. Also, when 'Draft/Final' functionality is enabled for the forms, the notes will be queried by the date of the note, when the note is first entered, and not when the note is finalized. - In the Charge Reversal for Progress Note Corrections field, select the charge reversal code to be used with the Progress Note Corrections form when deleting a closed or claimed service associated with a progress note that is being voided or reverted to draft status. This value is required in order to delete closed or claimed services. If no value is specified here, an error occurs in the Progress Note Corrections form when Yes is selected for the Delete Service field.
Only posting codes defined as charge reversals (Is this a Charge Reversal field on the Posting/Adjustment Codes Definition form) are available for selection. - Checking the boxes in the Default Delete Service Action within Progress Note Corrections field indicates that Yes should default into the Delete Service field on the Progress Note Corrections form when the corresponding action is chosen.
- If appropriate, in the Disable The Selection Of The Following Treatment Plan Types field, select types of treatment plans that will not be accessible in progress note forms.
- In the Update Treatment Plan Type Selections To Match field:
If Yes is selected, 'Select Treatment Plan Version' fields will display the treatment plan name, using the name entered in the Site Specific Section Description field (Site Specific Section Modeling form, RADplus Utilities). This will affect all system codes. - In the Display Treatment Plans In Selection Leaf For The Selected Plans field, select the treatment plans. Selecting a plan allows you to view all of the client plans associated with the selection made in the Select T.P. Version field of the Progress Notes form. This is useful for linking progress notes to multiple or older treatment plans. Unselected plans will display only the most recent plan.
Note: Treatment plans created in the Treatment Plan form, and any copies of these treatment plans created in the Create New Treatment Plan form are available. - In the Total Number of Treatment Plans Available In Selection Leaf field, enter the number of treatment plans.
- In the Display Treatment Plan Status field, select the required the status for treatment plans to be displayed in Progress Notes forms. If none of the values are selected, then treatment plans with any status will display in Progress Notes forms. If Final is selected or if there are no values selected, the Display Only Treatment Plans Finalized by All Approvers field becomes required.
- In the Display Only Treatment Plans Finalized by All Approvers field:
- Select Yes to restrict the results to final treatment plans that have been signed off by all approvers. This allows Final treatment plans to display in the Progress Notes forms.
- Select No to allow all final treatment plans to display.
- In the Observations Default Time Duration field, specify how frequently the observation records will be collected during the day.
- In the Return To Pre-Display Upon Filing The Following Progress Notes field, select the types of progress note forms that will open the pre-display after the form has been filed.
- In the Enable Auto Save for CWS Product Forms field, select the forms that will be enabled for auto save functionality.
Note: This field is available for systems using RADplus Utilities version 2018, or later. - In the Include Clients Discharged Within This Number of Days Default Value... field, enter the maximum value that can be entered in the Include Clients Discharged Within This Number of Days field (Nursing Caseload Assignments form).
- This field is required to enter a value in the Include Clients To Include In Current Caseload field.
- This value will populate the Include Clients Discharged Within This Number of Days, and is the upper limit of days that can be entered.
- In the Enable CareGuidance field, select whether or not to turn on CareGuidance rules.
- In the CareGuidance Caseload Types field, select the caseload types to enable.
