Define Task Shift
Task Shift
Task Shift enables the definition of shifts in use by the facility/unit in order to schedule tasks that are due per shift.
To define shift(s):
- Enter the Shift Code and Shift Description.
- Add the start time of each shift. (end times will automatically calculate).
The defined Shifts may then be leveraged during the Task Frequency configuration.

Add/Edit Shift Definition |
Choose whether an existing shift is to be reviewed and/or modified, or a new shift definition will be added. Viable options are Add or Edit. |

Deactivate Shift |
Select Deactivate to disable the defined shift and remove it from selection within Task Definition. |

New Shift Code |
Enter an alphanumeric code with no spaces or special characters to represent the shift record. |

Existing Shift Code |
When editing an existing record, use Existing Shift Code to search for the shift record to edit. |

Shift Description |
Enter a short description of the shift being defined. |

Shift 1 Start Time |
Add the time when the first shift starts. |
|
Shift 1 End Time |
End times will automatically populate based on the following shift’s start time. |

Shift 2 Start Time |
Add the time when the second shift starts. |
|
Shift 2 End Time |
End times will automatically populate based on the following shift’s start time. |

Shift 3 Start Time |
As appropriate, add the time when the third shift starts. |

Shift 3 End Time |
End times will automatically populate based on the following shift’s start time. |

Shift 4 Start Time |
As appropriate, add the time when the fourth shift starts. |

End times will automatically populate based on the following shift’s start time. |

Display of all previously defined shifts. |
