Define Task Groups

Task Groups may be defined to trigger multiple tasks based on a single event, which are associated on the Task Associations form. Tasks may be simultaneous with the triggering event or offset from the event by a specific number of minutes, hours, days, or calendar days.

Offsets may be defined from a previous task within the group, the start of the group, or the end of the group.

Field	Description
Add/Edit Task Group Definition	Choose whether to add a new Task Group, or edit an existing Task Group.
New Task Group Code	Enter an alphanumeric code with no spaces or special characters to represent the Task Group.
Task Group Definition	Add a short text description of the Task Group..
Deactivate Task Group	Select to prevent the Task Group from creating new tasks.
Existing Task Group Code	When editing an existing Task Group, use the Existing Task Group Code field to search for the task to be edited.
Selected Task Group	Display of the tasks included in the group.
Add/Edit Task	Select whether to add, edit, or remove a task in the group.
Task To Add	Search for a Task Definition to add to the Task Group. When Previous Task is used as an offset, tasks should be added in the desired order.
Select Task	When editing or deleting a task from the group, use Select Task to choose which task in the group is to be edited or deleted.
Task Description	Display of the selected task description.
Offset	Enter the number of minutes, hours, days, or calendar days to offset the selected task from a specific event (previous task, start of group, end of group).
Offset Units	Select whether the offset is in minutes, hours, days, or calendar days.
Offset From Event	Indicate whether the task offset is from the previous task in the group, the start of the group, or the end of the group.
Offset From Event Task	When offsetting from a previous task, the preceding task will be displayed.
Duration	Enter the number of minutes, hours, days, or calendar days for the selected task duration.
Duration Units	Select whether the duration is in minutes, hours, days, or calendar days.
Frequency	Indicate the task frequency used for the selected task in the group.
Update Group (Button)	Select to file the task to the group. The changes are reflected in the Selected Task Group text box.
