Create an ODBC Connection
- Log in to your VPN.
- Once connected, confirm you are logged in to myAvatar NX.
- Open ODBC Data Sources. In the Start Menu, Search ODBC and hit enter.
- Click Add.
- Select InterSystems ODBC and click Finish.

- Name the Data Source and give it a Description. This should reflect the particular client as well as the namespace you are connecting to.

- Define the Connection. The Host Name will now use the ECP address for NX.
- Enter the ECP Address for the applicable environment into the Host (IP Address) field. Your Netsmart Consultant provided the ECP Address.
- Make sure the Port is 1972.
- Enter the Cache Namespace in all caps. This will either be AVPM or AVCWS depending on which namespace you are connecting to.

- Configure the Authentication Method.
- Select Password.
- Enter the same Username and Password that you are logged in to myAvatar NX with.
- Click Test Connection.

- After receiving the Connectivity Test Completed Successfully message, remove the Username and Password and click OK.

- If the message says Login Failed, confirm the following:
- Host Name is correct.
- You are logged in to NX.
- Port is set to 1972.
- You are logged in to the VPN.
Note: A separate connection will need to be established for each associated environment (i.e. UAT, SBOX, BLD, LIVE).
