Attach Other Application Form To Menu
Attach a form from one application to another.
- For example, the Member Enrollment form from myAvatar MSO can be attached to the menu in myAvatar PM.
- Forms can be shared between parent and child systems in the same system code.
- Information entered in an attached form is filed in the original application.
- Forms bundled in different applications can be attached.
- Attached forms can be removed using the Remove Form form.
- Permissions to attached forms are determined by the permissions granted to the user in the form's original namespace, not by the permissions granted in any of the namespaces to which those forms are attached. For example:
- If a PM form is attached to a CWS namespace and the user has permission to that menu in CWS but not in PM, the user will not be able to access the form in the CWS namespace because they do not have permission through the original namespace.
- If the user has permission to the form in PM but not CWS, the user will be able to access the form in the CWS namespace anyway because they have permission through the original namespace.
Prerequisites:
- The applications must be in the same system code.
- Go to RADplus Utilities > Menu Manager > Attach Other Application Form To Menu.
- In the Application field, select the application containing the form.
- In the System Code field, enter the system code of the form to attach. This is the code specific to your system that you use to log into myAvatar along with your Username and Password. The System Code(s) field on the Forms and Tables section of the User Definition form will list the ones associated with your system.
- In the Username field, enter the username of the user attaching the form. The user must have access to the application (User Definition form).
- In the Password field, enter the user’s password.
- In the Form to Attach field, select the form to attach.
- In the Form Description field, enter the form description. If a form description is edited, the form name is changed for the associated system code. The form description in the original system code stays the same.
- In the Menu to Place Form Under field, select the myAvatar menu heading to place the form.
- The Current Order field displays the menu heading order.
- In the Order field, select the menu position. Menu positions are numbered. Selecting a different number changes the menu order.
- Click Print Current Menu to generate a report of myAvatar form menus.
- Click Submit.
