Automatic Room And Board Setup - PM

Automatically assign a service code to be posted during room and board compile and posting.This assignment is based on the client's program and length of stay.

Prerequisites:

  • The Enable Automatic Room and Board registry setting must be set to Y.

  1. Go to: Avatar PM > System Maintenance > System Definition > Automatic Room And Board Setup
  2. In the Select Program field, select the program from the list.
    Note: This list contains inpatient programs. The list is maintained in the Program Maintenance form.
  3. Select the Delete button to delete a room and board program setup range.
  4. In the Range 1 From field, enter the starting number for the length of stay.
  5. In the Range 1 Thru field, enter the ending number for the length of stay.
  6. The Range 1 Service Code field contains a list of room and board service codes.
    Note: This code is used by the Room and Board Worklist, as the room and board charge code.
  7. Enter any additional stay ranges in the remaining Range fields, as in steps 3-5 above.
  8. Select Submit to file the room and board codes.

Note: Length of stay must be in order and must continue from one range to the next. The number entered in the From field for a range must be higher than the Thru field in the preceding range. For example, if Range 1 goes from 1-10 days, then Range 2 must start at 11 days.
