Assign clients to groups and edit the group assignment end date for a currently assigned client.

Group Member Assignment entries are used by the Scheduling Calendar and Post Staff Activity Log forms. When a new member is added to the group, they are automatically added to the future group member appointments (appointments after today's date, regardless of their membership start date). If there are unposted group appointments prior to today's date, the group member must be added to these appointments manually.

  1. In the Select Client window, search for and select the desired client.
  2. If the client has multiple episodes, the Episode Selection screen opens. Choose the appropriate episode from the list. Click OK.
  3. If the client has existing assignments, the Group Member Assignment pre-display launches. This pre-display lists each of the groups to which the client has been assigned. From here, you can choose to Add, Edit, or Delete assignments as needed.
Add New Assignments
  1. Go to: Avatar PM > Appointment Scheduling > Group Management
  2. Enter the Group Assignment Start and End Dates. 
    Note: For existing assignments, the Group Assignment Start Date field displays the current start date.
  3. The Actual Assignment Date field, displays the date the group member was entered into the Group Member Assignment grid on the Group Registration form.
    Note: The group member will be added to group appointments and progress notes based on this date.
  4. In the Select Group field, search for and select the name of the groups to enroll the client in.
  5. As each group is selected, it will be added to the list in the Selected Group(s) field.
  6. Select Submit.
    Result: You will be given the option to return to the pre-display.
