Cal-OMS Outside Provider Set-Up - Cal-PM
The steps provided outline how to set up an myAvatar Cal-PM Outside Provider to report Cal-OMS data to the state.

Dictionary Update
Define the Outside Providers in Dictionary – CalOMS File – 70701 Outside Provider
- The Dictionary Code and 'Cal-OMS Type of Service' will need to be defined for a Program in Program Maintenance.
- The same value should be selected in both the Program Maintenance field and Cal-OMS Type Of Service.
Program Maintenance
The Program Maintenance field Provider ID (CalOMS) will contain the Dictionary (70701) value defined for the program (221001).
The Program Maintenance field Cal-OMS Type of Service will contain the same value as Dictionary 70701's Extended Dictionary Value for the Outside Provider created (Nonresidential / Outpatient Detoxification).
- Selecting 'Nonresidential / Outpatient Treatment / Recovery' or 'Nonresidential / Outpatient Detoxification' will designate this program as a Narcotic Treatment Program (NTP).
- A Narcotic Treatment Program that has the value of 'Yes' for the 'Licensed For Methadone and/or LAAM' field cannot select 'None' or 'Other' for the 'Medication Prescribed As Part of Treatment' field on the Cal-OMS Admission (Medical/Physical Health Data) form.
