Workflow Service Setup Section

Define services that, when rendered, will trigger a To Do item. This section is within the Set System Defaults form in myAvatar.

  1. In the Workflow Service Setup table, click Add New Item.
  2. In the Service Code field, enter the service code, click Process Search. Click Ok.
  3. In the Send To Do Item To Which Staff Member field, select the staff member role who will receive a To Do item when the service is posted.
  4. If appropriate, in the Service Code Override Report field, select the override report to generate when choosing to View Detail from the right-click menu of a service To Do item. This replaces the regular report for all services (selected in the Service Default Report field on the Workflow Setup section) with a different report specifically for this service code.
  5. In the Start Date field, enter the first date from which a service will require a progress note. This date is also used to identify when a service/progress note association is required during the compilation of Electronic 837 bills.
    If left blank, the system will use the earliest allowable date from which to send a To Do for a service requiring a note.
  6. In the End Date field, enter the last date for which a service will require a progress note. This date is also used to identify when a service/progress note association is required during the complication of Electronic 837 bills.
    If left blank, the system will use the latest allowable date from which to send a To Do for a service requiring a note.
